About our Small Pet Boarding

I’m Anca, fully insured, DBS checked, and trained in Pet First Aid Level 2 (VTQ).
I have over 10 years of experience caring for a wide range of small animals, including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and other small pets.

I have raised canaries from chicks, rehabilitated birds, cared for pigeons, and bottle-fed kittens, giving me strong experience with young, delicate, and vulnerable animals.

I provide calm, attentive, and compassionate care, ensuring every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after while staying with me.
Over the years, I have also cared for a variety of species, including cockatiels, large Alexandrine parrots, different breeds of rabbits, hamsters, and many types of birds. Each animal had its own personality, needs, and quirks, and I’ve learned to adapt my care style to ensure they feel safe, calm, and loved.

I have always been surrounded by animals that were affectionate, curious, and friendly, and I genuinely enjoy building trust and forming bonds with them while they are in my care.

Accommodation:

Small pets stay in a clean, secure indoor environment, away from dogs and high-traffic areas.
Accommodation is temperature-controlled, hygienic, and set up for comfort and safety.
I can house animals in their own enclosure (provided by owner) or provide suitable temporary housing depending on species and needs.
Pets are monitored daily to ensure they are eating, drinking, and behaving normally.

Exercise:

Exercise and enrichment are provided safely and according to each animal’s species, temperament, and medical needs.
This may include free-roam time, tunnels, toys, safe outdoor grass time (weather permitting), and gentle interaction.
Animals are never left unsupervised during free-roam time.

Health & Hygiene:

I follow strict hygiene routines to keep pets healthy and comfortable.
Cages, bedding, and litter are cleaned regularly, food and water bowls are washed daily, and waste is disposed of safely.
I monitor appetite, behaviour, and droppings daily, and can administer basic oral medication if needed.
I do not accept animals showing signs of contagious illness to protect all pets in care.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

Prices vary depending on species, enclosure size, and care requirements.
Typical rates:
• Small pets (hamsters, mice): from £10 per night
• Rabbits, guinea pigs, birds: from £10–£15 per night
• Specialist care / medication: additional charge
Holiday rates may apply.
A small deposit is required to secure bookings.
