At Little Squeaks Boarding we love animals and have over 35 years experience of caring for gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, parakeets, budgies and more! From this we know exactly how worrying it can be to find the right care for your much-loved pets when you are away from home.

Accommodation:

We are pleased to welcome your little indoor pets to stay at Little Squeaks - housed in a safe and secure, fully heated, clean and modern boarding annex attached to the side of our home. We will provide cages for house guinea pigs (Ferplast 120 - 118cm long/58.5cm wide/51.5cm high) and lots of enrichment activities. Hamsters and gerbils etc will be housed in their own cages on our heavy duty, commercial standard, shelving that can accommodate large cages. To provide a low level of reassuring background noise we have our radio on all day and we have a live stream video camera so that we can see what our guests are up to when we are not in the room with them - perfect for monitoring our shyer guests!

Our space is very flexible, so any particular requirements (or for other small animals/birds), please just ask and we will see what we can do! We are fully insured and DBS checked.

Health & Hygiene:

Little Squeaks has been purpose designed and fitted out in 2021. All fixtures, fittings and our scrub'able floor are fully cleaned between guests (using Vets grade, DEFRA approved disinfectant). We ask that our bird guests are kept indoors for at least two weeks before their visit to us. We are currently only boarding birds from the same household at any one time.

Rabbit Boarding Prices

House Guinea Pigs - £10 per day (bonded pair £12 per day)
Rats (in own cage) - from £10 per day
1 Hamster/Gerbil (in own cage) - £5 per day (additional charged @ £2 per day each)
Budgies - £5 per day (in own cage) (additional charged @ £2 per day each)
Parakeets/parrots - £10 per day (in own cage)

Lovely, friendly and attentive holiday cover for our guinea pigs. We've left them with Helen at little squeaks several times and she looks after them brilliantly. They're kept very safe, warm, clean and they are watched over and handled. The Facebook updates are also really fun when we on holiday and want to see how they're doing. Great!
