About our Small Pet Boarding

Hello, we are a newly set up family run guinea pig boarding business. We have our boars Fudge and Truffle who we've had for a year now. My husband had guinea pigs all during his childhood along side other pets such as dogs, gerbils, hamsters and rabbits. We've took a shine to guinea pigs and love how sociable they are.

Accommodation:

We offer 4ft and 5ft C&C guinea pig pens. They are open top for easy access to piggies and has plenty of ventilation which will keep them cooler in warmer months. This also allows for piggies to be able to stretch upright on the hind legs and free for movemnt. Pens are kept in the living room so will be well heated during colder months. We have lots of tunnels and and toys for enrichment and hiding places for your piggies to feel safe and secure. All pens are fleece lined with plenty of hay.

Exercise:

Runs in the colder months are set up in the living room where it is heated and are 8x5 C&C with plenty of enrichment.
Runs in the warmer months are set up in the garden and are also 8x5 with plenty of enrichment and lots of grass as well.
Both runs are very spacious with plenty of room for piggies to have zoomies and exercise and also have access to water. Piggies will have a minimum of an hour on the morning and an hour on the evening for runs, depending on the piggies.

Health & Hygiene:

We are registered with our local vets however we require your registered vet details so that if in the unlikely event we need to get your guinea pig medical attention, they can be seen by a vet that knows them.
If your guinea pig requires medicine for an existing medical condition we will be happy to administer it with the owners consent and written instructions.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

We charge per guinea pig, per day. The price starts from the arrival day and continues to the day the guinea pig(s) are collected. If you go beyond the agreed collection day, then you will be charged additionally at the same rate per day.

Upon your piggies visit we only ask that you provide enough of your own brand of pellets to cover the full length of their stay (Ones your guinea pig(s) are used to digesting). We will provide everything else which includes pens, bedding, veggies, enrichment and plenty of hay or course! Our preferred hay choice is a mix of Meadow and Timmothy hay but if your guinea pig(s) have a preferred type other than the one we provide, please feel free to fetch it along to be included in their stay. We provide good run space for additional daily exercise both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor run space will only be used in summer months.

Prices per guinea pig per night

1 Guinea pig will be £5 per night
2 Guinea pigs will be £7 per night
3 Guinea pigs will be £9 per night
4 Guinea pigs will be £11 per night

Any bookings for larger herds exceeding four will require being split into additional pens and an extra cost of £3 per pen will be required.

There is a minimum stay requirement for two nights to allow us time for the deep cleaning process and bedding changes ready for our next borders.
