About our Small Pet Boarding

Family friendly environment, lots of love is guaranteed. As part of our booking process, we find out lots of information regarding your pet, this allows us to keep them as close as possible to their usual environment at home.

As well as boarding, I also offer home visits if you’d prefer your pet to stay in their own environment. This is available to any type of pets, not just rabbits and guinea pigs.

Accommodation:

Out door guinea pigs are accommodated in purpose built hutches, 4.5ftx2.5ft. This is a perfect size for a single or bonded pair of guinea pigs.

We also have 3 larger hutches 6ft x 2ft, which are suitable for groups of 3 guinea pigs.

Rabbits are accommodated in double storey, 6ftx2ft hutch, or a Wendy House, these are within 6ftx9ft aviary's, allowing plenty of space for your rabbit to exercise. These are large enough to accommodate one or two rabbits.

All guinea pig hutches are housed with a summer house, in my secure garden. During warmer weather the doors can be left open during the day to allow fresh air to circulate and a fan is also provided to keep all animals cool. During winter heating can be added if needed. Once everyone has been feed on an evening, the summer house is securely locked.

Indoor accommodation is available, for both rabbits and guinea pigs, during warmer months, guinea pigs only maybe offered accommodation within our summer house, if no indoor space is available.

For smaller mammals, they will need to be sent with their own cage. These are then housed inside our own home.

Exercise:

Outdoor runs for guinea pigs are provided, as much time as possible, subject to the British weather is provided.

For rabbits, dig boxes and other enrichment toys are provided.

Health & Hygiene:

All rabbits must be fully vaccinated and evidence on booking must be provided.

Hutches are fully cleaned and disinfected between visitors.

Fresh food, hay, bedding, litter and forage is provided. We ask as part of the booking process their usual hay, litter and bedding/substrate used, at home this will always be used and provided. Your usual dry food, will need to be provided to cover the duration of your pets stay.

Home Visits - subject to area & number of pets to be looked after.
£6.00 - up to 20 minutes per visit
£8.00 - 30 minute visit

Mileage charge will apply over 3 miles
