Thank you so much to the lovely Ruby for taking such great care of our pet for 4 weeks whilst we were abroad. We really appreciated the little updates and videos of which made us feel confident that our pet was happy and in great hands at Rubys boarding , and that we didn't need to worry about him during our holiday. Ruby house sitted our two rabbits whilst we were on holifay. She looked after them so well, so caring and thoughtful, they really liked her. Ruby would send us a video update every few days. Would highly recommend her services

I've left all my Syrian hamsters with Ruby and she has been great with them. Ruby and family are very passionate and caring with animals. I know every time I leave my animals with Ruby they will be taken care of. I had lots of video updates of them eating treats and having cuddles being handled. Very good highly recommend! :)

Once again A* treatment for our hamster and Rubys rodents retreats. Ruby looked after our Syrian hamster once more and the video updates were amazing and can really tell how much they care about all animals!. Would highly recommend anyone wanted to pet board to use here! Thanks Ruby!

Ruby was amazing at looking after our Syrian female hamster Flo. She was very accommodating and managed to fit us in last minute and even let us add on an extra day with minimal notice. We received videos of our hamster (even though she wakes up very late) and she was spoiled with lots of fresh treats. Would 100 percent recommend Ruby! Thanks a lot

Ruby was very professional and totally trustworthy. She came to our house every other day for two weeks to feed and check on our beloved rat, Dobocan. She took detailed notes when we met her and did everything to accommodate his needs. After each visit she sent us a video updating us. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

We have used Ruby's rodent retreat on two occasions for our two Guinea pigs and it was fantastic. Ruby was very flexible with pick up and drop off times and the space for the guinea pigs was very good. Ruby was very informative beforehand and the pictures and videos kept up up to date while we were away. I'd thoroughly recommend them.

The service provided was good with plenty of room for the rabbit to run and play for the duration. As other rabbits were there he was in good company and well take care of .. would use again for sure

We have used Ruby's Rodent Retreats on two occasions, purely because our regular pet-on-boarders had no spaces. Our pair of Netherland Dwarfs were well-looked after. Although we found the hutch comparatively smaller, the outdoor rabbit run was wider. We were disappointed with a few things this time around, hence the rating. 1. Ruby isn't very flexible with the drop times and/or the pick-up times. We had already mentioned to her that we would pick up our bunnies by 7:00 p.m. but we were still rushed only because she had found some other work around that time (earlier the reason she gave us was she wanted to spend family time after 7:00), I was made to feel very unwelcome during the pick-up by her and her partner even though I was there by 7:00 ish 2. It was good to have regular video and photo updates of our pets, but one of the videos was in really bad taste, she and her partner sounded really amused when the pets indulged in humping which is very common really even if the pets are neutered! Its a shame that animal on-boarders would find humping so funny !! We are grateful that our pets were well looked after, but I don't think we would use her services again !

We have been using Ruby's Rodent Retreats to come to our house and look after our cats for us for over a year now. We have found the service and the way she cares for the cats to be of the highest order. Regular updates are always provided. We would highly recommend it

I can’t recommend Ruby and Alan’s care enough. My large house rabbit Ripley was treated as their own and allowed to roam around the house - described as a silent dog he looked right at home when I came to pick him up. My girls were given photo updates so could see all the other animals he was befriending. He is definitely being booked in next time we go away.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My daughters 2 degus have been looked after by Ruby on 3 different occasions now and I couldn't be happier with the home from home she provides. Ruby and Alan are so passionate about animals and it shows in the attention they receive on a daily basis whilst staying on holiday with them. I love the video and photo updates and I really think that the degus are tamer and more friendly with us because of the expert handing and calm atmosphere that Ruby provides! And Alan is a degu whisperer!!! I cannot recommend Ruby's Rodent Retreat more highly and Silvie and Snowdrop have never stayed anywhere else where they have been in better hands. Thank you so much for looking after them so well.

My bunnies Brian and Ponyo have been to Ruby's Retreat on quite a few occasions now and they have always been looked after fantastically ! I love the video updates that Ruby sends and Brian even got a birthday cake on his birthday ! The accommodation is spacious for them both and they have always been made very welcome with lots of tasty healthy treats! Highly recommended 👍

Ruby and Alan were so welcoming. Having been the first time I was leaving Pepper for the weekend, they made it comfortable and put my mind at rest. Daily updates were appreciated, and Pepper enjoyed her stay too! Would definitely recommend anyone to use their services. A home away from home for your treasured pets.

I can not recommend Ruby’s Rodent Retreat highly enough. Timmy our lone Degu has just boarded there for the past week. The care and dedication of Ruby and her family are exceptional. I think Timmy has been at the Ritz equivalent of the Degu world!! Please use you will not be disappointed 😀😀

After a road accident my cat suffered a broken pelvis and required 6 weeks cage rest. As I work and couldn't be with my cat during the day, I used Ruby's rodent retreat's sitting service to give my cat some company during the boring days locked in a cage. Each day I came home, The cage and litter tray had been cleaned And water changed plus she had been played with as her toys were with her in the cage. They look after your pets as if they were their own, I think probably better than I could. I can completely recommend them for the love and attention they give .
