About our Small Pet Boarding

We board: RabbitsGuinea Pigs

Fully insured, CRB checked, we are located in the North east of England and offer exceptional care for small furries. As a former veterinary nurse you can feel happy and relaxed that your pet will be in expertise hands.

We offer quality boarding for guinea pigs and rabbits

We look after house rabbits using large dog cages indoors, allowing them free run of our house under supervision.

Accommodation:

We offer both indoor and outdoor accommodation using 4ft/5ft/6ft hutches with plenty room to sleep along with indoor cages.

All animals will be fully cleaned out daily, we dont just spot clean. Unlimited hay, fresh fruit and vegetables are all included in the price. We provide the nuggets for guinea pigs but rabbits are required to bring their own nuggets.

Exercise:

We have secure covered outdoor runs for exercise come rain or shine in our large grass garden. On hot days we use shaded areas of the garden for playtime.

Please bring along any toys to make your pet feel more at home.

facilities are also available for indoor play due to bad weather.

Health & Hygiene:

All pets should be in good health, any pets showing signs of illness can be refused.

All medical conditions must be discussed before booking is confirmed. Free medicine administration is included in price if prescibed for your pet.

I am registered with local vet for any requirements

If your pet unfortunately becomes ill while you are away then your pet will be taken to the veterinary clinic , which you will be responsible for payment of any necessary treatment. I will ensure you are contacted should this happen.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

prices per day: prices per week:

1 x guinea pig/rabbit £8
2 x guinea pig/rabbit £9
3 x guinea pig/rabbit £10

Indoor house rabbit £8 per day (must be neutered)

1 x outdoor rabbit £8 per day, 2 x outdoor bonded rabbits bonded £9 per day

We are unable to offer boarding to large/giant breed rabbit due to lack of size of facilities required to comfortably board them.

The day you drop off your pet is day 1. All fees are calculated from then until you collect your pet.

We DO NOT charge any extra for bank holidays, Christmas or New Year bookings.

Our bunnies go back time and time again to the Small Furries Retreat because I know they are being very well looked after when we're on holiday. Clare is very caring, boarding conditions are impeccably clean and comfortable and drop off/pick up arrangements are flexible. No hesitation whatsoever recommending.

My rabbit Harley stayed with Clare for two weeks in September. There were lots of tears when I dropped him off as I'd never ever left him before, but Clare instantly made me feel at ease and I knew straight away that Harley was in very safe hands. I received regular updates and photographs of Harley and I think he enjoyed his holiday more than I enjoyed mine! I have total faith in Clare and would feel 100% confident in leaving Harley in her fabulous care again. I wouldn't leave him anywhere else!!

More than pleased with Clare and her services. Felt more like we had a friend looking after our hamster rather than a stranger. Clare was extremely accomodating when we had to change our plans a couple of times and offered more than we could have possibly asked for. 100% friendly and 100% trustworthy, so thankful that we didn't have to spend our time worrying about whether our pet would be in safe hands or not. My rabbit Harley was boarded at this very professional and friendly establishment for 7 days whilst I was on holiday.
