About our Rabbit Boarding

I have cared for smaller animals since childhood. In more recent years I have fully appreciated how much the company of animals enriches my own family life and that of others.
I realised that when you try to take a break or plan a holiday; having a pet can often mean a struggle. Finding the right person, calling in a favour or placing them with someone you totally trust isn’t an easy decision. The Rabbit Hotel was designed to offer a secure experience for all our small guests and their owners. Secure, not confined!

Accommodation:

All small boarders are offered 'Double Storey' sleeping accommodation. This allows for extra living space.
We offer a large exercise area for free-roaming and encourage our guests to use it daily. This area is cleaned between use and no Pet Rabbits are mixed for Health and Safety.

The Rabbit Hotel is a secure outbuilding with security cameras.
The exercise area is available with stimulating activities/foraging mats.

Outdoor space also available on request/in line with the duration of the stay and client preference(s).
Outbuilding is locked at night. Security sensor light activated.
Rabbits are not left unattended for long periods of time. They have company and interaction to prevent loneliness/boredom.

The Rabbit Hotel has a Cooling Unit in use during the warm/hotter weather to keep the temperature safe for your pet.

Warm air/heating and fleece bedding is made available during the winter months.

Exercise:

Exercise pen and toys/stimulating activities and handling available on request for our rabbits who will not be mixed to maintain Health and Safety at all times.
Snuffle/treat mats available, stimulating toys, chew treats and exploratory circuits available.

Toys cleaned with Pet Safe products in between usage and guest stays to protect our small boarders.

Health & Hygiene:

VACCINATIONS REQUIRED:
All rabbits must have been vaccinated before coming to stay.
Please bring vaccination certificates with you/copy uploaded to booking prior to stay.

Vaccinations required:
Myxomatosis
Rabbit (viral) Haemorrhagic Disease (RHD1 &
RHD2).

Accommodation is spot cleaned daily, with full clean(s) during your Pet Rabbits stay.
Dwellings are fully disinfected, aired and dried between pets.
Dwellings are lined to prevent wood soiling and fleece bedding can be provided during the colder seasons for extra warmth.

Food and water (bottle and bowl) containers refreshed daily.
Fresh food and water provided daily.
(Fresh vegetables provided on request/dietary requirements adhered to).

Frequent cuddles and grooming unless your pet is nervous of being handled.
We are happy to encourage 'Little and Often' for contact, but always ask our clients prior over the individual needs of their pet.

Rabbit Boarding Prices

£10 per night for single occupancy.
£15 per night for a double dwelling (if you own two 'bonded' rabbits)

Handling on request.
Predator proof residence.
Some rabbits find it hard to keep themselves clean. Special attention is given to ensure their rears are kept clean/the prevention of fly-strike.
The Rabbit Hotel is equipped with an electric bug zapper safely suspended high above the accommodation.
We are happy to accommodate older and younger rabbits. We accept 'Bonded' Pairs.

Dual aspect living area to offer space and light. Airy, well lit accommodation for your pet.
