Kim’s Purfect Pets & Small Reptile Boarding provides welfare-first pet drop-in visits and specialist reptile boarding in Burwell and Cambridge. With over 10 years’ hands-on experience caring for reptiles, and a lifetime of caring for animals of all kinds, your pets are treated as family, not just bookings.
I’m animal first aid trained, DBS checked, and fully insured, offering calm, knowledgeable care with regular updates, careful monitoring, and emergency vet support if needed. I specialise in reptiles and small pets, providing attentive, species-appropriate care in a safe, settled environment & in your home.
My priority is simple: your pets stay safe, comfortable, and well cared for — and you enjoy complete peace of mind while you’re away.

Accommodation:

We offer a specialist reptile boarding service after recognising a real lack of knowledgeable, welfare-first reptile care in our local area. Your small reptile family members are boarded indoors within our family home, in a quiet, freshly decorated room dedicated entirely to our reptile guests.
Our reptile room is calm, temperature-controlled, and away from the hustle and bustle of family life and our own pets. We provide fully equipped vivarium set-ups, including thermostats, basking areas, climbing and resting spaces, and species-appropriate enrichment. We currently offer setups suitable for bearded dragons, chameleons, crested geckos, anoles, and other small reptiles — please get in touch to discuss your pet’s individual needs.
We are a small, low-capacity boarding service, deliberately limiting numbers to reduce stress and minimise the risk of illness. Dogs are kept completely separate from boarding areas, and hygiene and biosecurity are a top priority. Your reptile’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing always come first.
As our business continues to grow, we’re excited to be building a bespoke reptile hotel, opening soon. This fully insulated, weather-proof facility will feature lighting, electricity for heating and ventilation, and hand-crafted enclosures designed to cater for a variety of reptile species, all within a secure, fenced area away from pets and wildlife.
Your reptiles aren’t just boarded here — they’re carefully cared for.

Exercise:

We guide our exercise structure by the clients wishes and pets abilities, health and breed. So if your bearded dragon loves a snuggle, or to stretch its legs outside on warm sunny days we will do this with pleasure. Not all reptiles like to be handled, if your bestie doesn't we will respect its preferences!

Health & Hygiene:

Any health problems must be reported to us before your pets care starts. This can affect the decision of your pet coming to us, due to the safety and welfare of our other guest! All our equipment, housing, utensils, bowls, and areas are completely cleaned and sanitised after each boarder, making it as safe for your pet as possible!

There is no size fits all with prices for boarding your pet(s) Please contact us for prices, which vary due to the pet or pet(s) their requirements and length of stay with us, or pet drop-in visits.

We offer a premium service with the care and the accommodation we provide, now and in the future.
We give peace of mind and a 5 star boarding experience, giving you the chance to enjoy your holidays with family & friends.

Added benefits are:
Your reptile will be 24/7 cared for, as accommodation is at our family home.

Your bestie will have the option of getting out of its enclosure, species appropriate, to explore and get enrichment. Always with me, never left on their own!

We run a tight ship, cleanliness is extremely important to us, so daily maintenance is performed, safety checks on heating, humidity, and other essential maintenance.

We also send you daily updates of a message and photos & videos allowing you to see how your pet is settling in, how they are eating, their health and wellbeing.

Other Services

We also offer a pick up & drop off service for our clients boarding their pet with us. This is if you live within a 3 mile radius to our boarding facility. For clients that may have difficulty getting their pet to us and back again after their pets stay. We charge £0.45p per mile and a small fee for our time.

Fascinating creatures, that eat ivy, box hedging leaves and other foliage. This is our Cuban False Chameleon George's Viv. This is similar to what your arboreal VIP would stay in if boarding with us. This is Bob the Bearded Dragon, he has been boarding with us for 5 days, and was an absolute treasure. A very gentle and cuddly boy.
