About our Home Boarding

Solo Pet Services is licensed by The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council with a Five Star Rating to provide dog boarding. Full public liability insurance, Disclosure and Barring certificate (DBS formerly CRB check) & excellent references.

'Solo' was developed to provide dog boarding for dogs that do not wish to be in the company of other dogs and for customers who want an individual, caring and professional service for their pets.

Three dogs can be boarded together but only if they come from the same family.

Dogs need to be over 1 years old and able to settle and sleep through the night. A trial night is required for dogs that have not previously boarded.

Growing up on a farm has given me good practical knowledge, skill & confidence with animals. I have lived with both cats & dogs, however I am currently pet free which allows me to offer an exclusive service for your pet.

I have trained in animal First Aid and I qualified with a national charity as a Pet Bereavement Support worker.

I have a diploma in relaxation techniques, a helpful asset when dealing with animals.

Accommodation:

My home and garden have been inspected and approved by the Metropolitan Council. They provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment for your dog to relax in.

Many owners prefer their dogs to be in a home from home environment whilst they are on holiday with all the company, play & attention they would normally receive. A detailed plan is made with owners of their pets requirements so that routines remain as close to their home experience as possible.

Exercise:

A lovely park, open countryside and woods are within a 5 minute walk of my home. I have a garden for play and enrichment. Exercise requirements are always discussed and planned with owners to ensure your dog receives the best quality experience whilst you are away.

Dogs are individuals with individual needs, likes and dislikes. This is why we love them!

Health & Hygiene:

It is an essential part of the Dog Boarding License that all dogs are fully vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas and that evidence is provided. This establishes a safe and healthy environment for your pet.

Medicines can be administered and I am able to provide care for more elderly visitors.

Solo pet services is registered with two veterinary practices within my area, however details of your regular practice will be taken and you will always be closely consulted if any treatment is required.

Home Boarding Prices

Individual home boarding is a very popular service. If you are looking for holiday care then I do recommend that you make contact well in advance so as to avoid disappointment.

Dog Boarding (one to one)
Single Dog £50 per night
Two dogs £65
Three dogs £80

Bank Holidays and breaks of 4 days or less incur a small supplement. Please enquire for Christmas period & New Year rates.

All dogs receive plenty of attention and companionship. In accordance with licensing requirements dogs are never left for more than 3 hours in a day, and usually not at all.

Pet Loss & Bereavement Support. One to one sessions to help you deal with the ongoing emotional difficulty of pet loss, re-homing & bereavement.

A Cat visiting service is provided in the Shipley area to look after your feline friends in the comfort of their own homes. Feeding, companionship, play and administering medicines.
