About our Boarding Cattery

My name is Jenny and, as a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of being able to leave your cats with someone who will give them the very best of care in a safe and caring environment. Cats are used to home comforts as they live in our homes with us, so why not give them similar home comforts while in boarding?

Our boarding rooms are homely and comfortable and suit all types of cats - indoor, outdoor, elderly, young and disabled. Your cats are regularly visited throughout the day to ensure the litter trays are kept clean, food and water topped up, and to provide play & attention to keep your cats occupied.

I understand that it can be stressful leaving a beloved pet while you go away and am happy to give regular Messenger, WhatsApp and Text updates - and take photos, if you would like me to.

I do have my own cats. I also have a Labrador who is good with cats as she ignores them! My own pets will not come into contact with any cats boarding with me, but your cats may be able to see them from their boarding rooms.

NFDC Animal Activity Licence no. 1092/8

Accommodation:

We have a timber insulated garden cabin containing two small rooms (each suitable for up to 2 cats) and one medium room (suitable for up to three cats). These rooms do not have any outdoor areas. We also have a further two indoor only rooms within the main house - a medium room suitable for up to three cats and an extra large room, which suitable for a family of 6 cats.

Your cat(s) would have their own private room with a large cat tree, wall shelves, a window view, various places to sleep and a variety of interactive toys to keep them amused.

All rooms have cave beds so that shy or nervous cats have somewhere to hide. Pet steps can be provided for kittens, disabled cats and elderly cats. We can also supply 'slow feeder bowls' for cats that eat their food too quickly to help reduce sickness.

In the summer, if it's hot, fans or air coolers will be put in the rooms to make sure your cats do not overheat, and in the colder months, each room will be individually heated. Windows have trickle vents to ensure continuous fresh air. The garden cabin rooms have an aircon unit for very hot days.

All bowls, litter trays, litter and bedding are supplied and rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between bookings.

Exercise:

Various interative toys are supplied and wall shelves for climbing.

Health & Hygiene:

The cat rooms are thoroughly cleaned, litter trays disinfected and all bedding washed/flea treated in between each booking. All food bowls and utensils will be disinfected between each use.

All cats must have current vaccinations against Feline panleukopenia virus (FPV), Feline herpesvirus (FHV), and Feline calicivirus (FCV), and also be treated for worms and fleas (using a vet strength product) at least 7 days before arrival.

My cats stayed here for the first time back in January I was so worried about leaving them as it was our first time leaving them alone, however Jennifer gave us regular pictures and updates on how they were doing and she was really flexible it was amazing. Thank you.
