About our Small Pet Boarding
Guinea PigsBirdsHamsters, Mice etc.My name is Jacqui and I am the owner of Furry Friends Boarding. We are a small family-run business in Sidcup, dedicated to loving and looking after your small pets. I am former equine and NHS professional.
We provide Small Pet BOARDING and HOME VISITS for Cats in Sidcup.
Because we only board a few pets at a time we can give each our undivided attention and we do not have an animal hotel, we are a deluxe Pet Guest House!
With over 50 years experience of owning and looking after a wide range of commonly kept small pets, as well as horses, goats and ducks and hens.
I also hold professional qualifications in Horse Management, Occupational Therapy and Complementary therapies.
Accommodation:
Purpose Built, Heated, Pet Building Accomodation
Guinea-pigs housed in 5ft Hutches with fleece linings and litter trays full of hay, replenished twice daily.
Rabbits housed in 35sq ft self contained, Walk-in Lodge Accomodation with access to the pet building via cat flap and a raised sitting platform for day time snoozing!
House pets bring their own cages and are cared for in a dedicated ground floor room in our home.
Exercise:
Guinea-Pigs enjoy exercise time in secure outdoor runs on grass.
Rabbits are housed in purpose built cattery style lodges which are 35sq feet. They have 24 unrestricted access to this space.
Health & Hygiene:
Each pet in our care is given a health check on arrival and visual health check daily.
We have a wonderful vet locally, should your pet require vet attention during their stay.
All rabbits have to be fully vaccinated at least 4 weeks before they stay and we request full medical history from all prospective guests at point of booking so we can provide the best care.
We recommend all rabbits are wormed regularly.
Our housing is spot cleaned daily with litter trays cleaned and refreshed with hay twice daily.
At the end stay, pet housing is total cleaned and disinfected with Anigene.
Due to the spread of ecunuli in rabbits urine, we do not use outdoor grass sited runs for our rabbit guests, instead they have 24hrs access to their own 35sq ft purpose built lodge.

I have a little Bunny called Dusty whom I love very much but I was struggling to look after her not really knowing what I was doing. My sister was out shopping and found one of Furry friends cards in our local supermarket and picked one up for me what a lucky day that was for both Dusty and Myself. I phoned Jacqui and asked if she would come round and see Dusty and we discussed my needs and Dusty's and since that day we haven't looked back Dusty is much happier in herself she has lost weight ( I think I was killing her with kindness ) is much livelier and Jacqui has taught me how to handle her correctly so I feel more confident in handling her now . I have also boarded Dusty at Jacquis the first time for a long weekend (I think I was more worried than the rabbit) but she came back bright as a button since then I have had some work done at home and Dusty has stayed with Jacqui for a couple of weeks during that time I went to visit her she was happily playing in a run outside the visit was more for me than the rabbit I think. I would have no hesitation in recommending Furry friends to any of my friends as far as I am concerned Jacqui and Furry Friends has been the saving of both myself and Dusty. Carole L Sidcup
