About our Small Pet Boarding
RabbitsGuinea PigsBirdsReptilesHamsters, Mice etc.Abbey Pet Care is based in Abbeydale in Gloucester. We offer quality boarding for all small animals. We pride ourselves on being a small business, therefore, we are able to offer plenty of individual attention for your pet during their stay as we are on site with them 24 hours per day.
We are experienced in looking after rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, degus, chinchillas, budgies, tortoises and chickens.
Pet Visits to your home are also available, if you should prefer to leave your pet in his/her own surroundings.

Accommodation:
Our six indoor hutches can be opened up to provide up to 7ft of living space suitable for larger breeds of rabbit or perhaps if a pair of animals require housing together.
Exercise:
All rabbits and guinea pigs will have daily access to our outdoor runs which are sited on our grassy lawn, weather permitting. We provide tunnels and igloos for your pets to enjoy.
Runs have sun shades to help keep your pet cool during hot weather. Hide boxes are also provided for your pet to enjoy!
Health & Hygiene:
All pets should be in good health when they arrive and rabbits must have up to date vaccinations.
If your pet is on medication for health conditions, please advise us at the time of booking and we will endeavour to administer medications as required.
Your vet will be contacted should your animal become unwell during its stay with us.
Bedding, basic dried food and fresh vegetables are including in our daily rates which start from as little as £6.00 per day.
Any special dietary needs can be catered for, but this special food should be provided by the owner.
All hutches are cleaned daily and disinfected weekly.
Small Pet Boarding Prices
Small caged animals / budgies - £5.00 per day per cage.
Rabbits / Guinea Pigs - £6.00 per day per single hutch. or £10.00 per double hutch.
Tortoises £5.00 per day.
Payment should be made by either bank transfer or cash on first day of boarding. A 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking and your balance is due on the day of drop off.
Our Facebook page allows us to keep you up to date regarding your pets stay with us via messages and photos or if it's eaiser for you, via Whatsapp.

Home Visits to your pets, except dogs are also available from very competitive prices.
*Please note that grooming and claw clipping only applies to rabbits and guinea pigs and is charged at £5 per guinea pig/rabbit.

At short notice due to unforeseen circumstances Rachael was able to look after our elderly dog, who wasn't suited to kennels. Upon our return it was if we hadn't been away, Toby had obviously been very well looked after. A big thank you to Rachael, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her first class pet care.

I have used Abbey pet care to look after three guinea pigs ( the girls ) on two occasions when I was away on holliday. Contact was easy with a quick reply, the hutches are very clean and indoors not a shed, with three guinea pigs I could have two hutches that connect giving a large open hutch. When the weather is warmer they have day time runs on a lawn. I will always use and recommend Abbey pet care.
