Baby Dustys first holiday boarding away from home - I was fretting but Donna put my mind at rest and did a brilliant job of looking after her - it was great that she sent me photos and videos whilst I was away as this put my mind at ease - Donna won her trust and I think they grew to like each other a lot - Donna has many years experience of caring for birds and this shows ... A big Thank you from us :-)

Just to say thank you again for taking care of Frankie our cockatoo while we were on holiday (& unexpected delayed return). She did say goodbye as I shut the car door! She was very happy & chatty all the way home, just her usual self. She got her favourite treat- a chip from the fish & chip shop when we got home. Frankie has been staying with Donna & Chris & their flock for over 4 years - she enjoys her holiday too, which ensures we can enjoy ours! She will be back again in September.

Finding Donna to look after my Sun Conure . Iam so glad, Tutee spent 2weeks with Donna and obviously enjoyed his stay. Donna has a fabulous set up which is spotless and spends time with your bird. I think Tutee loved it so much he didn't want to leave. I will not be using anyone else now 5 star care and service have booked in for June.

I'm owned by a 30 year old African Grey. For the whole of her life, when I go on holiday, she has always been looked after by a friend who also has a Grey. My friend recently had to have an operation which came through after I had booked my holiday. So it could have all gone wrong. Donna kept a slot for me “ just in case” and wouldn't take any money. She needn't have done that and I'm very grateful. I wanted to post this review so people know that Donna is a genuine person and can therefore be recommended.

I can't recommend Donna highly enough. I was a bit nervous when I went to drop Candy but as soon as I met Donna and realised how good and knowledgeable she is with parrots I was at ease. During Candy's stay, Donna took good care of our Candy for 2 weeks and kept me up to date with occasional pictures, videos and messages about Candy 🦜. I was relaxed throughout my trip and happy knowing Candy was in safe hands. Highly recommend Donna ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I honestly can't recommend Donna highly enough. The care she gave our budgie Rocky while we were on holiday was just amazing. My daughter and I have always felt worried leaving Rocky in the past, but Donna put us at our ease straight away, and we were able to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing that he was being so well looked after in a home-from-home environment. Donna sent us regular updates, and we could see that Rocky was having a great time! He came back to us very happy after his stay, and we really wouldn't want him to go anywhere else in the future. Donna, thank you so much for everything!

Dear Donna Bryony and I just wanted to thank you and Chris for looking after the birds whilst we were away. Bryony in particular was pleased to know that they were being looked after in a safe and secure environment by people who cared. Apologies for the hassle in transferring they to our cage for the future we are going to invest in a pair of heavy duty gloves specific for the purpose. One word for Donna and her family for her services over Christmas… AMAZING. We needed care for our 3 parrots over Christmas after being let down and Donna stepped up big time. She took our birds in on Christmas Eve and cared for them over Christmas. Taking them out every day, giving them attention and love like they were her own. I can't rate her highly enough. Our Parrots are like our kids and she treated them like her own. Highly recommended, we will 100% be back. Thanks so much Donna! 10/10

Amazing people, Nacho stayed for 9 Days and the kids were re assured he was being well looked after and given lots of attention with many videos and pictures being sent to us whist we were away. Good value for money 100% would go back again

I would highly recommend Donna. I took my African Grey-Tazmin- to stay for just over a week. She had a great time with Donna who was able to easily handle her. Donna sent me videos of Taz enjoying her stay and I was able enjoy my break knowing Taz was in confident safe hands. I also rented one of Donnas cages which was spotless and a great size. Emails and texts were always answered very quickly. Would definately book with Donna again.

Donna looked after my Cuban Amazon for over a month this summer while we went abroad. He is my first parrot and I'd only had him for 4 months before going away, so I was a bit anxious about leaving him! However, he was very well looked after in a lovely, clean home. I had updates and videos sent through which was lovely. You can tell Donna loves birds ðŸ'œ He's now settled back home after being collected earlier this week 😊 I will definitely be booking him in again next time we go on holiday and know I will not have to worry about him!

I've never left my two conure before and was very nervous about it especially as they have some behaviour issues. However, I was super happy with Donna and my birds seem to have had a great time! It's great to know about featherd friends for the future and I'd highly reccomend them if you're looking for somewhere to board your birdies!!

I can't recommend Donna and her family enough! Our Jenday Conure Mac, had the most wonderful time with Donna and her little feathered guests and family. I felt so comfortable leaving Mac in her safe hands. Donna was wonderful throughout and kept in contact with me, sending me photos and videos of our boy. I don't think he wanted to come home! Mac will be having many more holidays with Donna. He's already wanting to book his next trip xx

I have just collected my little Quaker, Lilo from Donna. I couldn't have been happier, she had been well cared for and happy. Lilo is not an easy bird, she is quite feisty and takes offence quite easy. However, I know that Donna, having her own birds is experienced in their care, unlike people who maybe bored rabbits and guinea pigs. I will be more than happy to take her again for our next holiday. I have sent my little parrot for boarding with Donna twice this year and would definitely recommend to anyone else. The place is lovely and full of other happy birds. My little parrot was shy at first but really opened up after the first night - and he learned new songs too! Donna is very nice and gentle with them. I'm very comfortable leaving my parrot with her.

Donna has taken care of my cockatiel Stuart on various occasions and she is an absolute gem. I am always anxious to leave Stuart when going on holiday, but thanks to Donna I can go with complete peace of mind. We've known Donna and Chris for many years now. They look after our budgies anytime we go on holiday. They are very caring, they have extended knowledge and experience looking after different types of birds. My budgies are so happy when they go to Donna's, they love it there as they make new friends and they know they'll be well looked after.

We boarded our Bobby (B&G Macaw) with Donna at Feathered Friends whilst we went away on holiday. Donna was brilliant. We had daily texts, photos and videos of Bobby which put our minds at ease. He's a bit of a sod at times but it was nice to know that he was ok and happy. What was really good was that Donna had him out of the cage as we had asked. When we picked him up he was happy and his usual self. Where we boarded him before he was silent and it took him several days to return to normal. Not this time though, he was chatty and playful in the van all the way home and his little holiday didn't seem to bother him at all. We cant thank Donna enough for looking after our jungle chicken and providing him a home from home. If you have a parrot and are looking for a parrot hotel, Feathered Friends are a superb choice and I would highly recommend you get in touch with them. Thanks again. Pete & Lisa

Tilly stays regularly with Donna and Chris. Whenever I take her there, my little bird is thrilled to see them. I feel so happy that she obviously enjoys her stays and I have no worries when Tilly is at their house.

Absolutely Brilliant! This was my 1st time leaving my African Grey parrot since I got him and I was very worried. However, Donna and her husband Chris, did an amazing job looking after him and it seems he had a fantastic time. Our cockatoo Frankie has just spent her first stay of two weeks with Donna & Chris and their feathered flock. We cannot thank them enough for the care and kindness shown to our "feathered treasure" - and to us during her stay. Donna and Chris gave up their time for us to visit them before Frankie even arrived - to smooth our ruffled feathers, and we were grateful they were able to alter her arrival date at short notice too. I was worried as Frankie had not seen another bird - other than garden birds - since coming to live with us 18 years ago, however as others have observed, birds are very adaptable and Donna and Chris provided her with expert loving care - and email updates and pictures alleviated our anxiety. I have no hesitation in recommending their service, and to say that we have already booked Frankie in for our next holiday.

This was the first visit for our budgie Fred while we were on holiday for two weeks. After looking through many different small pet boarding, Donna was the only one that we came across that would let Fred out each day for a fly as Fred is never locked in his the cage at home. Our wonderful African Grey Parrot needed a place to stay while our baby was born the stay was extended to nearly 4 months as we had a number of problems. This is a top class place nothing was to much trouble and Bentley loved every minute of it Donna sent pics and messages to keep us in touch with how he was doing. When we picked him up he was full of himself and his condition was completely perfect we could not of been more happy. Will be using this caring place again many thanks Donna.

My African Grey Carlos stayed there for the first time in June for 2 weeks while we went to America on holiday. Donna was very friendly & welcoming. She looked after Carlos & treated him like he was her own & kept in touch with me, letting me know how he was doing. This is such a great place to leave your bird without worrying about them that Carlos will be staying again in August for a week.

My Congo African Grey Archie has just spent 10 days with Donna and her beautiful flock. Donna is a beautiful lady with a heart of gold who will look after your feathered friends above and beyond any pet services I know. Donna gives you regular updates on how your bird is doing. I fully recommend Donna's services to our beautiful birds. My feathered terror is now home and ruling the roost keeping me my partner and two dogs on our toes. Boarding with Donna you will not be disappointed. We contacted Donna about 3 days before we were due to go away and Donna replied very quickly and was able to look after our budgies Buddy and Beep for the week. They were great and kept us updated throughout. 2 very happy budgies! We will certainly be using Feathered Friends again.

Hello everyone, my name is Buddy. I had such an amazing time with Donna and her family last year that my Mum and Dad booked a returned visit for me. I spent 9 days with Feathered Friends in July at her fabulous new home.... and I even got the same cage I stayed in last year. Then to my surprise I spent 15 days with Donna this month... and she saved the same cage just for me. I think I must have a special place in Donna's heart but more important she has a special place in mine: I am a bird for the Ladies and Chris (Donna's husband) did try his best to entertain me....but I am very particular. Sorry Chris. I loved my 2017 holidays with you Donna you made me feel at home .... you looked after me right from the 1st minute and I knew exactly where I was. and this allowed my Mum and Dad to have their holiday without any worry at all. I am not sure when my next stay is but I hope it is real soon. Thank you so so much Donna. Lots of feathery love, Buddy (and my Old Macdonald nursery rhymes)

We left our amazon Mango with Donna for the first time this July! He's only a baby and we were a little nervous leaving him but from the moment I spoke with Donna on the phone I knew he would be just fine. We arrived to drop mango off and were welcomed into Donnas home and able to set up the cage just how mango has his at home to make sure he was comfortable . Donna kept in contact with me even whilst we were away to reassure me he was fine :) we would have no hesistation in sending mango or our new addition Billy for another holiday or recommending this wonderful lady to anyone looking for boarding! Truly lovely people and beautiful place to send your feathered friends for their holidays!

Hello...My name is Buddy (or Bubba!) and I've just spent the best 9 days of my feathered life with Donna and her family whilst my Mum and Dad went on holiday. Donna encouraged me to be myself, joined me all the time in my chorus of "Old MacDonald" and "Baa Baa Black sheep" nursery rhymes, amongst the "hello's" and "can I have a tickle?". I learnt a few things too from the other feathered friends I made during my stay. It was my 2nd visit and I knew where I was straight away and I felt at home from day 1. Donna is a lovely lovely lady (2nd in line to my Mum of course), and she interacted with me constantly so that I didn't feel lonely and attended to my every need. It was a fabulous environment and one that I would recommend. I had my very own holiday cage too. I hope I can go back for another holiday soon.

My 24-year-old African Grey had never boarded with a stranger, and I was very anxious about her. However when I got to Feathered Friends, and saw that she was going to be surrounded by Donna's three African Greys I was much reassured. (I do not think my Sam has even seen another African Grey since she was a chick!)I was also pleased to see that all the parrot's cages were in the centre of the household, and thus all the parrots have the stimulation and company of being amidst the family as well. Upon my return after a fortnight Sam looked very content and relaxed, and she stayed that way during our journey home, and when I moved her from her traveling cage to her big cage. Donna told me she had been opening Sam's cage to put her food in the bowl, after Sam had taken some from Donna's hand. I was truly gob-smacked; Donna is only the second person to be able to enter her cage without being bitten. I inherited Sam some 18months ago, and it took me months before I could risk putting my hand into her cage, yet Donna did it in days! I think she has a natural affinity with parrots. I am tempted to call her "Donna Doolittle"!! I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Feathered Friends, and I am so pleased to know that when she has to be boarded in future that I know somewhere she will be extremely well cared for.

Our Budgies Robbie and Lionel thoroughly enjoyed their stay with Donna for the two months we were away. We cannot recommend Feathered Friends enough as a safe, caring home from home environment for birds and we would definitely use them again.

When a friend of ours let us down and was not able to look after our precious bird when we were away, we are so glad to have discovered Donna and her family of "Feathered Friends" who have taken great care of our Parrot (Rosie) as if she was one if their own. Regular communication and updates from Donna has made the separation from our little bird much easier... She has even sent us a photo too! Its very comforting for us to know that when we go away in the future that we don't have to rely on friends and family anymore! Absolutely fantastic!! By the looks of it Ringo (our 16 week old budgie) was very well looked after and seemed well fed and content when we picked him up. I cannot recommend Donna and her family enough.. It is very much and home from home service. The care and attention they give to the pets they look after, is second to none! Thank you very much ..
