About our Small Pet Boarding

I have worked within the animal industry for over 20 years within animal nutrition, animal health, veterinary pharmaceuticals and animal physical rehabilitation. You can be assured your pet is in loving, safe and competent hands. We are fully insured to look after small animals too.

The Pinny Gig Hotel has been created from my passion and love for guinea pigs and all things furry. From my very first guinea pigs Choco (chocolate Agouti), Millie (black & white Abyssinian) and Frisky (ginger Abyssinian); to my lastest ones Maverick (ginger & white American) and Rockstar (ginger Abyssinian). I adore everything about their squeaky, cheeky, lovable personalities.

Accommodation:

All pets will be kept in a secure, locked wooden cabin; with constant access to fresh hay and water; with daily veggies and cuddles all included in the price. Each enclosure is a minimum of 1.5m long x 1m wide and 0.6m high; with the ability to extend them to 3m long enclosures for larger groups of pets.

Exercise:

In addition to their spacious pens, they will also have access to an indoor run during their stay to stretch out their little legs.

Health & Hygiene:

Wellbeing checks are regularly carried out daily, Enclosure spot cleans are done every day with full enclosure cleans once a week. Pets are regularly checked on throughout the day with video cameras viewable from our home so we can keep an eye on them. A smart thermometer enables us to monitor the daily cabin temperature and humidity from our phone to ensure it is comfortable for the piggies.

All pens are fully disinfected in between use to prevent the spread of disease. We will only board guinea pigs which do not currently have any contagious diseases. We are happy to discuss the management of any long term helath conditions and will administer medication to pets that require it.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

GUINEA PIGS
Normal enclosure 1.5m (5ft) long x 1m (3ft) wide x 0.6m (2ft) high:
1 guinea pig: £7.50
2 guinea pigs: £8.50

Large enclosure 3m (10ft) long x 1m (3ft) wide x 0.6m (2ft) high:
1 guinea pig: £15
2 guinea pigs: £17
3 guinea pigs: £19
4 guinea pigs: £21

Prices include:
Unlimited hay
Fresh veggies daily
All bedding
Daily exercise in an indoor run
Lots of cuddles
Administration of any medication

Not included in the price:
Pellets / dry food: Please bring your own choice of dry food as we don't want to upset their tummies by giving them a different type.

HAMSTERS & GERBILS
£4.50 per cage

Prices include:
Safe accommodation in a secure wooden cabin
Supervised cuddles, play time and exercise in a secure indoor pen (if they like being handled)
Unlimited Timothy hay (if this is something they are accustomed to)

Not included in the price:
All bedding, food, toys and cages must be provided by the owner for the duration of their stay.

Other Services

Regular pet updates, pics and videos will be sent during their stay as we know you will want to know how they are doing and if they are having fun.
