About our Small Pet Boarding
RabbitsGuinea PigsBirdsHamsters, Mice etc.Cosy wheeks is a small, family run business. I started pet boarding services after finding it difficult to find boarding for my own pets in the Chesterfield Area. I have years of experience with Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Hamsters and Birds and I care for my guests as if they are my own!
Accommodation:
Your pet will stay in our Purpose Built, North facing Garden Room, which is cool in the Summer Months, due to the extra insulation and Aircon unit; Warm in Winter, as it is heated to 15 degrees for your pets comfort.

Exercise:
We have various Outdoor areas, which your pet can enjoy. These include lots of play tunnel activities and plenty of hiding places which your pet will love!
Health & Hygiene:
Each Hutch is cleaned out and disinfected in between occupants (hutches are spot cleaned on a daily basis). A full clean is done twice a week; with bedding, fresh hay, vegetables and fresh water is provided. If a trip to the Vets becomes necessary, I would contact you to get your permission. This bill will need to be paid directly to the vets if possible and a copy of the receipt will be sent to you.

Single Guinea Pig £6 per day - Two Guinea Pigs sharing the same hutch will be charged at £8.50 per day.
Single Rabbit £6 per day - Two Rabbits sharing the same hutch will be charged at £10 per day.
Single Rabbit Free Roaming in the Lodge £9.00.
Single Rabbit Free Roaming in home with night pen £10.
Budgies/Small Birds - £4 per day in owners cage.
Parrots/Cockatiels - £6 per day in owners cage.

Other Services
Pets will be groomed a couple of times a week, before going back in their hutch (unless you state otherwise) This is all part of the service and at NO extra charge.

I recently booked my two guinea pigs into Cosy Wheeks, and I couldn't be happier with the care they received. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that Karen genuinely loves animals and takes pride in creating a calm, clean, and comfortable environment. My guinea pigs were settled straight away, and I felt completely confident leaving them. Throughout their stay, they were given plenty of attention, fresh food, and a spotless, cosy space to relax in. It was obvious they were well looked after — they came home relaxed, happy, and exactly like their usual selves. I really appreciated the thoughtful touches and the way that Karen made everything feel personal rather than just routine. I would absolutely recommend this small animal hotel to anyone looking for a safe, caring place for their pets. I'll definitely be booking again.

Karen has looked after our bunny on a couple of occasions, short and long Stays. I cannot fault the care and attention to details that our bunny received. Regular updates with photos & videos. It can a stressful time learning your pets with strangers. However I wouldn't hesitate to leave my bunny again with Karen. Thank you Karen.

We left our boy Bunny with Karen for the weekend and from our first call, Karen showed a huge amount of care and attention to detail. She made sure all his needs were catered for, and allowed him to have full roam of the shed. Would recommend, 5 star pet boarding:)
