About our Small Pet Boarding

We love animals and see our little business more of a hobby which allows us to care for your wonderful creatures ! As we are a small business with few, large, luxury enclosures, we are able to spend more time caring for your pets and pride ourselves in providing individually tailored care in a home from home setting. You can be confident they will be having the best time being spoilt with cuddles and toys.
We have a wealth of animal care experience from hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs to cows and donkeys and everything in between (more or less!). We want you to feel happy and relaxed that your pets will be well cared for, as if they were our own, while you enjoy a break. We monitor all of our guest’s health and wellbeing throughout each day of their stay.

Accommodation:

All of our pet spaces are located in our insulated and damp proofed stone built pet hotel with heating in the cooler months and fans in the warmer months

We always suggest you bring a bit of their used bedding if possible as this will make their accommodation smell like home and make them a little more comfortable.
Rabbit Boarding - We have large indoor enclosures available for rabbits. Each enclosure is 240cm x 80cm (approx 8ft x 2.6ft) .They have a hideaway hut, soft comfy linen bed,platform, wooden bridge, litter tray, hay rack and enrichment toys

Guinea Pig Boarding - We have large indoor enclosures for guinea pigs. These are 160cm x 77cm (approx 5ft x 2.5ft). These are also suitable for rabbits. Each enclosure has a hideaway hut, platform, play tube, hay rack and enrichment toys.

Rodents/ We ask that all rodents come with their own cage/vivarium to avoid too much disruption. Please provide any food that is required for their stay.

Tortoise Boarding/ We ask that all tortoise come with their own cage/vivarium to avoid too much disruption. Please provide any food that is required for their stay.

Exercise:

We have runs on the grass for guineas and rabbits with shade and shelter.

Your pets are never mixed with pets from other households.

Health & Hygiene:

All of our enclosures are disinfected with Safe4 DEFRA approved disinfectant (commonly used by vets) between guests and cleaned daily, with spot cleaning occurring throughout the day whilst they are in our care.

Al pets have their own personality, likes and dislikes, just like humans, We will ask about your pet's likes and dislikes and health history so that we can quickly detect any changes to their health or well being.

Only healthy pets are accepted and rabbits must be vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD (Viral Haemorrhage Disease) at least 2 weeks before arrival for their own protection and that of other guests. Please remember to bring the vet's vaccination certificate when checking in as we will not accept rabbits without seeing this.

We reserve the right to refuse boarding to any pet exhibiting signs of injury or illness and do not board pregnant pets.

Illness and medical attention
At the time of boarding with us, if your pet(s) is under veterinary care and receiving medication for non-contagious medical conditions we are happy to assist in administering prescribed drugs. Please ensure you provide sufficient medication for the duration of your pet’s stay with us.

In the unlikely event that your pet should become sick during their stay we will take your pet to our local vets. We have a very good relationship with our local vets who are always on hand for advice or a consultation. All costs will be in your name and will be your responsibility and paid for promptly upon your return please.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

All prices are per day and include all hay, soft fresh bedding and fresh fruit and/or vegetables depending on your pet’s normal diet. We have dry food available but ask that you please bring sufficient of your pet’s usual dried food where possible to minimise tummy upsets.

Additional services
Pet drop ins to feed and care for your pet at home @ £10 per half hour visit within a 6 mile radius
We offer a collection and drop off service @ £10/ drop off, £10/ collection within a 6 mile radius
