About our Small Pet Boarding
RabbitsGuinea PigsMy name is Jo, I live in Southill with my husband and two grown up kids. I work part time in a school and love being in the garden and walking our dogs. We are very lucky and live in a beautiful location with a very spacious garden. We all love being outside and we share our home with our two dogs, two guinea pigs, our chickens and newly acquired colony of honey bees! Having had rabbits and guinea pigs in our home for the last twenty years or so, and now having the space to be able to do this, I welcome you to The Burrow.
Accommodation:
At the moment, but am looking to expand this, I have five double hutches, each with plenty of room for two rabbits or two guinea pigs and a single hutch with plenty of room for one rabbit or one/two piggies!
I also have two indoor one level hutches for those furry friends that prefer staying inside at night!
Exercise:
I have large outside runs that the rabbits and guinea pigs can spend their days having fun and exercising, I also have plenty of enrichment toys for bunnies and piggies to play with 😊. These runs have covers to protect from rain showers and the sun if it gets too hot!
Health & Hygiene:
Hutches are lightly cleaned every day, with new bedding supplied and litter trays emptied.
After each stay and before the next guest, hutches and all bowls, bottles and toys are all thoroughly cleaned and runs and grass are hosed down.
Small Pet Boarding Prices
Prices are £15 per hutch per day, so if you have two bonded rabbits or piggies you pay one price per day. Price includes, fresh hay and veggies given daily, and fresh water. Please can the dry food/pellets be supplied, insuring there is enough for the duration of the stay. I can also if you require send updates and photos of your furry friends whilst you are away 🥰.
A deposit of £20 is required at the time of booking and the full balance must be paid prior to dropping off. Deposit and payment can be cash or bank transfer.
Other Services
Please also get in touch if alternatively you are interested in home visits to feed/clean, play with your pet whilst you are away on holiday or at work. These visits can be arranged depending on distance and the prices range from £12-£15 per visit depending on what you would like the visit to include. I am insured and DBS checked. Please contact me for further information.

Our two guinea pigs had a fabulous time at The Burrow! They stayed for 2 weeks in August. They had a very spacious hutch and a run, where Jo had thoughtfully been watering the grass during the long dry spell. Jo obviously loves piggies! She treated them with a lot of love and respect, even setting up a tunnel from the hutch to the run to accommodate their fear of being picked up. We loved getting their 'holiday snaps' and updates while we were away. We will definitely be repeat stayers. Thanks Jo!

Our Mini lop bunny “Snowy†was looked after by the Burrow this Summer for just over 2 weeks and we were very pleased with the service provided. The customer service was very friendly and we were regularly provided with photos while we were on holiday. Snowy was given lots of safe space including outside in a spacious run. When we picked him up he seemed very happy and calm a recommendation in itself! Based on our experience we would heartily recommend “The Burrow†for bunny boarding.

My two mini lops stayed with Jo at The Burrow for 10 days this summer. They had access to a large double hutch and run on grass each day. Jo had a brilliant information pack and asked for information about my two bunnies routine and likes/dislikes ahead of time to make the transition as stress free for them as possible. Jo was lovely and you can tell she is passionate about providing the best care. Jo shared regular updates and pics of Pudding and Pancke and my bunnies came home happy and healthy and I had peace of mind that they were were well cared for while I was away. I would not hesitate to recommend The Burrow to anyone looking for a home away from home for their small pets 😊

Theo was offered a clean good-sized cage and outdoor run on fresh grass with other animals around to see. We think he had a lovely time and returned home healthy and a good weight. Would definitely recommend The Burrow for small pet holidays. Easy parking at the location.
