About our Small Pet Boarding

Welcome to East Sussex Happy Hutch Holidays – a home-from-home holiday for your much-loved pets!
We are a family-run small animal boarding service, and as lifelong animal lovers, your pets are cared for with genuine love, attention, and plenty of hands-on care.
Every one of our lovely boarders becomes part of the family while they’re with us, enjoying the highest standard of care in a calm, safe, and caring environment.

Both my husband and I have previously owned and run our own pet shop and have personally cared for a wide range of animals, so you can relax knowing your pets are in experienced and knowledgeable hands.
Our prices include:
• Hay, straw, and bedding
• Fresh water
• Fresh fruit and vegetables
Owners just need to provide their pet’s usual dried food and, where applicable, their cage.

Accommodation:

We offer a range of comfortable accommodation options to suit your pet’s individual needs, including hutches and large, secure runs set within our spacious, fully enclosed garden. Wherever possible, we provide both indoor and outdoor accommodation so each animal can enjoy the environment that suits them best.
Our indoor rabbits enjoy a large dedicated space with plenty of room to explore, relax, and play, filled with lots of varied enrichment to keep them happy and stimulated.
All of our boarders, whether staying indoors or outdoors, enjoy daily time out in a run, along with plenty of gentle handling — including a cuddle on the sofa for those who enjoy it 💛
Hamsters are welcome to stay in their own cages, helping them feel settled, safe, and at home during their stay.
We also have a vivarium available, ideally suited for chameleons. Owners will need to provide the heat source and live food to ensure routines remain familiar and consistent.
Your pets’ comfort, happiness, and wellbeing are always our top priority, and we treat every animal as if they were our own 🐾✨

Exercise:

Our outdoor boarders can enjoy time in our large runs whenever the weather allows. When the weather isn’t on our side, we have a secure indoor exercise room where rabbits and guinea pigs can stretch their legs, explore, and play safely.
Hamsters have their own special play pen, complete with areas for digging and foraging, and if they’re used to it, gentle time in their ball in the evening.
Reptiles are also very welcome to bring along their own play pens so they can enjoy safe, familiar enrichment during their stay.
We do our very best to make sure every pet has plenty of exercise, stimulation, and comfort — whatever the weather 🐾💛

Health & Hygiene:

Every hutch, run, and exercise area is thoroughly deep cleaned and disinfected between boarders using an animal-safe disinfectant, so you can feel confident your pets are staying in a clean and hygienic environment.
For the safety and wellbeing of all our rabbits, we kindly ask that full vaccination records are provided. Rabbits must be fully up to date with their vaccinations for myxomatosis and both RVHD strains before their stay.

🐀 Rats from £3.50 a day depending on group size.

£3.50 per night, per cage
