About our Small Pet Boarding

I love animals and have worked for many years looking after rabbits, guinea pigs, cats and dogs firstly at PACT animal sanctuary and more recently at Low Farm Kennels. I care for a number of my own rescue rabbits and will extend the same level of care and affection for all my guests as I do for them.

I also have training in administering medication to poorly guests (with your permission), and extensive experience bonding one or more rabbits. I will also ensure their nails are clipped if they need it!

Although I will look after your animals as well as I care for my own, to give you and I extra peace of mind I have insurance in place with PetPlan to cover certain events and vet costs whilst your pet is in my custody and control.

Accommodation:

I have purpose built accommodation at Emma's Holiday Hutches, comprising six walk-in wooden enclosures each measuring 8ft by 3.5ft, and five brick built enclosures specifically designed for guinea pigs or indoor rabbits.

Each wooden enclosure contains a large outdoor area to provide plenty of daylight and exercise and a cosy indoor bedroom to provide added protection from cold or nasty weather conditions. So these are all therefore suitable for one, two, or more of your furry friends - ideal if your pets usually live together.

The brick built enclosures come with the option of being heated, for a small additional daily charge, if required.

Exercise:

Each outdoor wooden enclosure contains a large outdoor area to provide plenty of opportunity for your rabbit to get sufficient exercise during its' stay.

Health & Hygiene:

All animals boarding with us must be in good health, and any medical conditions discussed with us when booking. We reserve the right to refuse to accept your pet if we feel they are showing any signs of illness or injury. This is for the benefit of your own pet and that of other boarders.

I have experience in administering medication so treatment for any non-contagious existing medical problems can be included with your consent.

Please bring with you proof of vaccination against Myxomatosis and VHD (Viral Haemorrhagic Disease) when boarding at Emma's Holiday Hutches. You pet will not be able to stay without this.

Your pet will not mix with any other animals whilst in our care, and the enclosure will be checked and cleaned daily.

All our feeding bowls, water bottles, toys, and other items are all disinfected after each boarding.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

One Rabbit £9.50. One Guinea Pig £6.00.
Each additional rabbit/guinea pig sharing the same enclosure £5/£3. Giant breeds priced on request.

Prices are per night and there is no additional surcharge for bookings on bank holidays including christmas and new year.

All pricing includes standard dry food and fruit & vegetables, lots of fresh straw bedding and hay, plus loads of TLC! Please bring their own food if they have any special requirements, and any special treats your furry friend may have. Please also bring a carrier that can be left for the duration of the stay.

Full payment by cash or cheque is required on arrival.

Full payment on arrival, with a 50% deposit required in July, August & September. Whenever you make a booking an enclosure is reserved for you, so please inform me ASAP if you need to change or cancel it. Also please note I cannot give refunds for pets that are collected earlier than originally booked.

Collection and delivery service - If you would prefer to do so, and to give you one less thing to organise when you are getting ready for your holiday, please ask if I can pick up and/or drop off your pet and I will arrange a convenient time to do so. An additional charge may or may not apply depending on the distance, length of stay and time of year - please ask me at the time of booking.

Services: Claw ClippingIntroductions/Bonding

Claw clipping where requested is included free of charge and I also have extensive experience bonding two or more rabbits if required - priced on request.

Rabbit Bonding - I have extensive experience and success in bonding two rabbits. This is priced at £150 for the first week followed by my usual daily boarding charge for the length of time that is necessary. Please see the testimonials on my website.
