About our Small Pet Boarding

Established in 2018, we set up Chelmsford Bunny Lodge in our converted summer house having struggled to find suitable boarding accommodation for our own house bunnies. We expanded to include an outdoor boarding options due to demand however we do not use hutches, we have custom built enclosures to offer more comfort and space for our guests. We are a small, family business who understand the care and attention small animals need.

Accommodation:

Our accommodation inside our converted summer house is 'hutch free' with each area being a minimum of 6ft x 3ft. Larger accommodation is available to booking (12ft x 3ft and outside we have 18ft x 3ft).
The exact set up varies depending on the guest but provide hideaway houses, litter trays, bowls and bottles. We provide all hay and fresh and only require you to bring dried food for your pet. We encourage owners to bring toys and items from home too to make our guests as comfortable in their surroundings as possible however please note we ask that anything that needs to be stored fits within the carry case and only 'standard' sized carry cases are used (if they need more space in the car then please transfer them to a normal carry case on arrival). We keep the carry cases here in case of emergency and request that they are sturdy (preferably the plastic ones and not fabric ones they can chew or dig at) and the guests can not escape from them in case they had to be left unattended in the carry case.
Due to popular demand we have now added large two story hutches to our accommodation for those guests who are housed outside at home. Please contact us for further information.

Exercise:

All our guests will receive supervised exercise time and love and cuddles each day as per our personal plans agreed with you.

Health & Hygiene:

Our accommodation does not allow our guests to come into direct physical contact with each other and we have a full disintectant procedure between guests.

We have a full daily cleaning process for all enclosures and communal areas and a full cleaning programme for guest change over.

We can support guests with medication and additional needs - please ensure all details are shared with us at the time of your enquiry.
