About our Home Boarding

At Wagging Trails in Little Plumstead, Norwich, we specialise in calm, home-based dog day care and boarding for small to medium-sized dogs. Run by Sam — fully licensed, insured, DBS-checked, and certified in Canine First Aid and Behaviour — our focus is on creating a safe, relaxed space where every dog feels right at home. With years of experience and a passion for gentle, structured care, we provide the personal touch that busy kennels simply can’t.

Accommodation:

Our home is a cosy, welcoming environment where dogs can settle quickly and feel part of the family. They have access to the whole house, including the lounge, kitchen, and secure garden, with plenty of comfy beds and sofas for snoozing during the day.

Overnight guests sleep where they feel most comfortable — whether that’s in their own bed from home, a soft dog bed, or an open crate in a quiet spot. Some dogs also sleep upstairs in our bedroom for extra reassurance, though we don’t allow dogs on our bed (simply because there isn’t space for everyone!).

The garden is fully enclosed with double security gates, and all outdoor time is closely supervised to keep every dog safe and happy.

Exercise:

Daily adventures are a big part of life at Wagging Trails. We visit a secure, privately rented dog park every day, giving your dog the freedom to run, sniff, and explore safely off-lead. Walks and activities are always tailored to each dog’s needs — whether that’s a gentle potter, playful chase, or simply exploring at their own pace. Back at home, dogs enjoy garden time, enrichment games, and lots of rest in between, ensuring the perfect balance of activity and calm.

Health & Hygiene:

Your dog’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. All dogs must be fully vaccinated (or have up-to-date titre tests) and kept on a regular flea and worming plan to join our group. We work closely with Rackheath Vets for any emergencies and are fully trained to give vet-prescribed medication. Our home is cleaned daily with pet-safe disinfectants, fresh water is always available, and hygiene standards are kept to the highest level — so you can relax knowing your dog is safe and well cared for.

Home Boarding Prices

Dog Day Care: £27 per day (up to 11 hours)
Home Boarding: £37 per 24 hours
Weekend Premium: +£10 (applies Friday 6:15 pm – Monday 7:00 am)

💳 Booking & Payments:
• Boarding stays of 3+ nights require a 50% deposit.
• Payments are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
• Cancellations: 14+ days’ notice for a full boarding refund, 7+ days for day care.

Spaces are limited to keep our groups small and calm — early booking is highly recommended.
