About our Home Boarding

Welcome to Wagging Trails — a calm, relaxed, home-from-home dog day care and boarding service based in Little Plumstead, just east of Norwich.

Run by Sam, with support from partner Craig and resident Cavaliers Bramble and Jasper, Wagging Trails specialises in regular weekly day care for friendly, well-socialised small and medium dogs who enjoy gentle play, fresh air, and familiar company.

Our approach is simple:
calm, structured routines + small groups + personal, thoughtful care.
Dogs thrive when they know what to expect, who they’re with, and where they are — and that’s exactly what we provide.

⭐ Home boarding is offered exclusively to our regular day care dogs.

This ensures every overnight guest already knows our home, routine, and playmates.
It creates a true “second home” experience, meaning settled sleep, happy mornings, and stress-free stays for even the most sensitive dogs.

Accommodation:

Our home is cosy, welcoming, and wonderfully calm. Dogs have access to the lounge, kitchen, and secure garden throughout the day, relaxing on soft beds and sofas just as they would at home.

Overnight guests sleep wherever they feel most comfortable — whether that’s:

• their own bed from home
• a comfy dog bed
• an open crate in a quiet corner
• or on our bed, if that’s their usual routine or they need a little extra comfort and reassurance

The garden is fully enclosed with double security gates, and all outdoor time is closely supervised for safety and peace of mind.

Exercise:

Dogs at Wagging Trails enjoy twice-daily visits to a secure private dog park where they can run, sniff, explore, and play safely off-lead.

Walks and activities are always tailored to each dog’s needs — from a playful dash, to a gentle wander, to relaxed sniffing sessions for older or more sensitive dogs.

Between outings, they enjoy plenty of rest, cuddles, and calm enrichment — keeping everyone relaxed and well-balanced.

Health & Hygiene:

Your dog’s wellbeing is always our top priority.

• All dogs must be fully vaccinated (or have a current titre test)
• Regular flea and worm protection is required
• We’re trained in Canine First Aid and Canine Behaviour
• Fully insured and DBS-checked
• Excellent relationship with Rackheath Vets for any emergencies
• Our home is cleaned daily using pet-safe disinfectants
• Fresh water is always available

We also follow safe feeding routines and administer vet-prescribed medication with clear written instructions from you.

Home Boarding Prices

• Dog Day Care: £27 per day (up to 11 hours)
• Home Boarding: £37 per 24 hours
• Weekend & holiday surcharges apply

💳 Booking & Payments:

• Regular day care is billed monthly in advance via Stripe
• Boarding stays of 3+ nights require a 50% deposit
• Cancellations: 14+ days for boarding refunds, 7+ days for day care changes

Spaces are very limited to maintain our calm, small-group environment — early booking is strongly recommended.
