About our Home Boarding

Welcome to Wagging Trails: Your Dog's Home Away From Home!

Hi there! I'm Sam, a passionate dog lover living in Little Plumstead, just east of Norwich, with my partner Craig and our two adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Bramble and Jasper.

At Wagging Trails, we offer a loving and personalised home-from-home experience for your dog. Whether it's boarding for your trip or doggy day care for a busy day, we provide all the love, attention, and exercise your furry friend needs while you're away.

Your pup's days will be filled with exciting adventures! Each morning and afternoon, we'll take them to a safe, enclosed 2-acre dog park rented exclusively for our furry guests. This park offers ample space for exploring, playing with new friends, and burning off energy. Between park visits, your pup will have our home as their personal doggy haven. They can explore our secure garden, indulge in playtime, and cuddle up for some relaxation before their next adventure awaits.

Peace of mind is guaranteed! We hold the highest Broadland District Council standard (4*) for new home boarding establishments, allowing us to care for up to four small to medium-sized (under 25 kg), neutered dogs, in addition to our own. We're also fully insured, DBS checked, and hold distinctions in Canine Behaviour Training and Canine First Aid Diplomas.

We understand leaving your dog can be tough. That's why we offer a free meet-and-greet so you can get to know us and see firsthand our love for dogs and commitment to providing exceptional care.

Stay connected with your pup! We'll send you regular WhatsApp updates with photos and videos of their adventures, so you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing your furry friend is having a blast.

Ready to give your dog a tail-wagging experience? We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Warmly,
Sam

P.S. Bramble and Jasper can't wait to meet your dog too!

Accommodation:

Is your dog a perfect fit for our happy home?

We'd love to welcome your furry friend to our licensed home boarding and day care services, but to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, here's what we look for in our canine guests:

Temperament:

• Friendly and social: We welcome well-mannered, friendly dogs who enjoy interacting with people and other dogs.
• Understands canine communication: For a positive social experience, your dog should be able to read basic canine body language to interact appropriately with other dogs during playtime.
• No history of resource guarding: For a safe and harmonious environment, we require dogs who don't exhibit possessive behaviour over food, toys, or people.
• Calm and well-behaved: Excessive barking, destructive chewing, or jumping can be disruptive. We prefer pups who know their manners!
• House-trained and reliable: Accidents happen, but we need dogs who are generally house-trained, do not display territorial marking and avoid any incontinence issues.
• Comfortable with stairs and hard floors: Our home has stairs and tiled floors, so your pup should be comfortable navigating them.

Health:

• Up-to-date vaccinations: To protect everyone's health, all dogs must have current vaccinations, including kennel cough.
• Regular flea and worm treatments: Keeping up with parasite prevention is crucial for your dog's well-being and the safety of our other guests.

Size and obedience:

• Small to medium-sized (under 25 kg): We cater to smaller breeds and medium-sized pups who are comfortable in a home environment.
• Neutered: Neutered dogs tend to be calmer and more sociable, creating a more harmonious experience for everyone.
• Good level of obedience: A little training goes a long way! Your dog should be able to follow basic commands and walk well on a lead.

Still unsure? Let's chat!

Even if your dog doesn't tick every box, don't hesitate to connect with us. We understand every dog is unique, and we'd love to discuss your furry friend's specific needs and arrange a meet-and-greet. This helps us get to know your pup better and assess if we're a good match.

If the meet-and-greet goes well, we can schedule a trial day care session, followed by an overnight stay for boarding guests. This ensures a smooth transition and a happy stay for your beloved dog.

We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming your furry friend to our home!
