About our Home Boarding

Hi! My name is Emma and I am the owner of We Love Pets Bridgend, Cowbridge & Llantwit Major.

I started WLP as a dog walker and supervisor for the original owner back in 2019. I soon took over the branch July 2020.

WLP is a fantastic franchise which I am so proud to be a part of. It's wonderful to be back in the mix with animals and like minded people.

My background has always been with animals and I studied animal care/management in Usk College. After College I got stuck in the world of retail as management, life wasn't great. I didn't have all the animals around me!

So when this opportunity arose, I took it with open arms and it's been the best thing ever since.

I have a wonderful and supportive team and many other knowledgeable pet carers around the UK through WLP!

Accommodation:

We Love Pets Bridgend offer an excellent home-from-home dog boarding service while you’re on holiday. This is a fantastic alternative to traditional dog boarding kennels; ideal if you are on holiday and want your dog to be thoroughly pampered while you’re away. They will stay in our home, as though they are one of her own, and will try to replicate your animals home environment.

Exercise:

We will take your dog for a walk with plenty of fun and exercise, and they will return home exercised and happy, ready for a towel down, treats and fresh water. Our ‘no pack walk’ policy means your dog can be walked safely with another friendly dog but will always receive individual supervision, attention and care.

Health & Hygiene:

For your peace of mind our home boarders are:
Experienced dog owners
Licensed by the local authority
Fully insured
Police checked
Trained in canine first aid

Home boarding is suitable for dogs who are friendly, well socialised and enjoy living as part of a family. We can only board dogs that meet the following criteria:
House trained
Up to date with vaccinations (including kennel cough)
Up to date with flea and worming treatment (using products recommended by the vet)
Friendly and sociable with people and other dogs
Neutered males
