About our Home Boarding
As a former gamekeeper I specialise in boarding Labradors, Retrievers and Spaniels. (Both pet & working dogs)
We have owned and trained gundogs for the past 45 years so you can rest assured your dog/s is being left in the best possible care you could hope for.
They will live in our home as part of the family.
We only board up to four dogs at any one time so they receive lots of individual attention.
We are licensed by KL&WN council(21/00479/AA) as Home Dog Boarders , and have the top 5*****rating.
We have full public liability insurance.
Accommodation:
Dogs live and sleep in our home and have free access to a safe and secure garden.(Covered by CCTV)
Exercise:
He, she or they will live in our home and have lots of exercise and fun activities to stimulate their minds.
Every morning we go out, whatever the weather, on a 90 minute to 2 hour adventure walk over the fields of Norfolk or along the beaches. We head out to places such as Houghton, the Peddars Way, Roydon Common or onto the beach at Old Hunstanton.
The older dogs or those “off games” have a separate 45 minute walk in the morning and another 45 minute walk in the afternoon along with the more active dogs.
We only board up to four dogs at any one time so they receive lots of individual attention and while not out on walks we do scent training, retrieving etc and they have freedom to go from the house to the secure garden as they wish.
Health & Hygiene:
Current vaccination certificates are required.
No un-neutered dogs.
No dogs under 12 months of age
Dogs are cared for in a warm and clean environment.
Home Boarding Prices
Our boarding charges are £25.00 per night
Minimum 2 nights
No weekend only boarders

Chris at Norfolk Home Dog Boarding provided excellent care and attention for our elderly Clumber Spanial, Hazel. The boarding is home from home and Chris provided super care and attention for Hazel's medical needs. We were so pleased to find NHDB and would have no hesitation in recommending them. Hazel enjoyed her holidays with Chris and Ruth over the summer of 2022 but now has sadly left us. Thanks for all you did for Hazel whilst we were away.

Absolutely fantastic! Loki loves ‘going on holiday' with Chris! And I love knowing that my boy is in good hands, has fantastic walks to lots of different locations, get regular updates whilst I'm away and generally have a very happy (and sleepy) hound to come back to! Can not recommend highly enough!

Chris has been looking after my working Labradors for many years. Sam my 3 year old golden lab is a frequent boarder and loves being with the other dogs and always returns happy and well exercised. Highly recommend

We recently visited Norfolk for the first time & while we wanted to take our 19 month old lab with us we also wanted to visit some places that just were not dog friendly.This is where the lovely Chris & Ruth came in....the service they offered & the price sounded great, we booked Murray in for the three days & what a wonderful choice we made, Murray took to Chris & his lovely dog "Louis" straight away & each day came home more exhausted than the last which for a young male lab is a great achievement! Chris & Ruth offer a wonderful service & I just wish we had someone local that offered the same standard of doggie day care . Planning another trip later in the year to Norfolk & will definately be giving them a call .
