About our Guinea Pig Boarding

Hi all, my name is Diane (aka Dee) I’m the creator of Dee’s Den - Trusted home-based luxury boarding for rabbits & guinea pigs. A calm, secure back garden setup with experienced attentive care.

Dee’s den has been open for nine years providing care for the rabbits and guinea pigs of East Anglia…I’m based in Ipswich (Suffolk) situated approximately 5 mins from the well known copdock roundabout.

Exercise:

All the rabbits sheds have their own private runs attached giving guests the freedom to come in and out when they choose.
Guinea pigs will have time outside in a large secure run to stretch their little legs and play on grass!

Health & Hygiene:

All accommodation is cleaned daily, trays washed out and replenished with aubiose and yummy hay. Between guests everything is disinfected within an inch off its life, using a vet grade disinfectant in preparation for my next boarders.

***All rabbits that board with me MUST be vaccinated. I do ask that you provide proof of this before their stay.
***They would need the vaccine at least two weeks prior their stay to give them adequate protection by the time their holiday begins with me.
***Please check with your vets to make sure your rabbits are protected from all three diseases.

Guinea Pig Boarding Prices

Boarding prices from the 1st of April 2026.

•The Ritz - £18 for 1-2 rabbits sharing
(each additional rabbit is £2 extra)

•Bunningham Palace - £18 for 1-2 rabbits sharing
(each additional rabbit is £2 extra)

•The Hyde - £16 for 1-2 rabbits sharing
(each additional rabbit is £2 extra a day)

•The Nest - £16 for 1-2 rabbits sharing (each additional rabbit is £2 extra a day)

They all have their own private individual runs attached. The Ritz, Nest and Hyde have the extra luxury of heating and lighting.

These are suitable for your pampered divas including single buns/pairs/ giants and groups of bonded rabbits.

•Guinea pigs will board in my spacious 7ft hutches situated within an aviary, so they are well protected and feel safe. Daily playtime will be in a large secure run on grass. A wonderful array of greens, veg and salad will be provided for breakfast & dinner. Alongside pellets and a soft timothy hay.
•Two guinea pigs sharing - £14 per a day. Each additional piggy will be charged £2 extra a day.

-All prices are per a day, including drop off and pick up days.

- Science Selective/Burgess excel pellets.
- Delicious timothy hay, fresh herbs and greens, and of course some yummy treats thrown in.
- Spacious comfortable accommodation, with toys and enrichment.
- F10 fly repellent applied on their arrival if necessary.
- Nail clipping upon request, ONLY if your rabbit/piggy tolerates it.
-All boarding is in my back garden, so I’m on hand throughout the day tending to all my guests needs.

- I supply selective and Burgess Excel pellets for all my guests but if your rabbits or piggies eats a different brand please bring a bag of it with you.

Dee looked after my French Lop (Peaches) for several days. She was friendly and knowledgeable. The accommodation (and menu) were 5*. She catered to my giant bunnies needs, sent me updates and was flexible around drop off/ collection times. I will definitely use her again!

Excellent, safe and knowledgeable care. Can't recommend it highly enough. Dee treats each rabbit with exceptional individual care and quickly gets to know them very well, keeping an eagle eye on them during their stay. I feel very lucky to have her so close to where I live. The facilities are excellent and I'm confident that she can manage rabbits of all ages and conditions. My bun got a pedicure during his last stay! He's getting on in years and when I have to go away there's no one I'd rather look after him.

Dee looked after our elderly guinea pig for a week whilst we were away. Care and attention to Sophie were faultless. Dee's communication is strong and there are no 'surprises' when it comes to paying. I would heartily recommend Dee's Den and we will bring Sophie back when we next go away

Thank you to Dee for looking after our two guinea pigs so well when we were on holiday. Everything from the hutch to the runs, the lovely snuggly beds Dee provided and the mid week update - they were obviously cared for very well. I would definitely recommend Dee's den to anyone looking for small pet boarding.

We left out quinea pigs with Dees den such a lovely lady knew from the moment we met they would be looked after- during our time away we had a txt saying that quinea pigs ok..would highly recommend and will be asking again when we go away.
