We promise to treat your pets as if they were our own. We've been rabbit and cavy lovers for several years and are well experienced in their care, and offer a high quality and inexpensive service to anyone looking to board their pet.
We'll have a good chat with you and ask you to fill in a form when you bring your pet so we know their personalities and preferences, and likes and dislikes.
We'll provide your pet with all bedding, fruit, veg and unlimited grass and hay but we do ask that you bring their usual dry food, as we are unable to stock every type and don't want a change of diet to cause upset tummies.
Being animal lovers the care your pets will receive will be well beyond the call of duty as we genuinely enjoy caring for animals and there's no better sight to our eyes than a happy, lively cavy or rabbit!
All pets are homed in our large, secure outbuilding and so are completely safe from the elements and predators.
Pets are never allowed to mix, unless they've already been brought in bonded pairs or groups. We have a variety of large hutches, and don't charge any extra for two-tier accommodation!
We believe your pets should spend as much time as possible out of their hutches enjoying exercise and so have built large indoor playpens (over 100 square feet each) full of toys and tunnels and amusements, as well as outdoor runs. These have been a huge hit with every pet who's stayed, and when out of their hutch, pets are supervised at all times, as we know the mischief they can often get up to!
Health & Hygiene:
We'll check your pet on a daily basis for any sign of illness, injury or disease. Please note that all rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and VHD.
Hutches and the playpens are kept clean on a daily basis, and are regularly disinfected, especially between boarders. We hate dirty hutches and have a scrupulous regard for health and hygiene.
Small Pet Boarding Prices
We can look after your pet for any length of time, from one night upwards, and no deposit is required. Prices are charged by night, like a human hotel.

I have been boarding my rabbits with Kirsty for many years and wouldn't feel confident in them staying anywhere else. Kirsty really cares about the pets in her care and is knowledgeable about their welfare. My bunnies are a very important part of the family and they deserve the best care I can get for them and I feel confident with Kirsty that they are in safe hands. Kirsty is very flexible and in my experience has often gone beyond expectations to meet the needs of my bunnies. She really gets to know the pets in her care and I have always found her to provide a very friendly, helpful service. After many years of boarding my rabbits with Kirsty I trust her to look after them well and have always found her to be extremely helpful. I would highly recommend her and my bunnies are already booked in for later this year!

I have being bringing my guinea pigs to Kirsty at Whittle Valley for a number of years. I am truly satisfied that she is very attentive and kind to all the animals in her care. Kirsty is very knowledgeable about small animal welfare and I feel that my pets are in good hands. I feel very lucky to have Whittle Valley on my doorstep and would recommend it to anyone who wants to go on holiday knowing that their pets are in safe hands.

My house rabbit has been staying with Kirsty for the past 5.5 years.
When I first went to Whittle Valley I was concerned about my rabbit not being inside (like he’s used to) and being disturbed by the noise (he’s a single bunny). Every time he returns home he is relaxed and chilled out like he has been at a spa. It’s so nice to know that the disturbance in his routine doesn’t phase him. To note, if he ever stays anywhere else (including family when I am still looking after him) it takes him at least a week to return to his normal relaxed self.
When he first stayed he had just been in the vets for an operation to do with his digestive system. Kirsty still checks on him now and asks about it!
Kirsty clearly cares about all the bunnies in her care and they are clearly treated very well during their stay. She always gives us an update at the end of his stay when it’s clear she has spent time with him. My bun is a bit of a Prince so if he likes it any bun will.
I would not take him anywhere else.

I have always brought my pets to Whittle Valley pet hotel and each time I have left with very happy bunnies. Kirsty is fantastic at her job and genuinely cares for each pet with a warm heart. I feel comfortable knowing that my bunnies are in safe hands with lots of care, attention and treats. The prices are very reasonable and kirsty is very flexible with times especially as I was running late once and she was very understanding. I would highly recommended bringing your pet to this lovely family run business you won't be disappointed.

I have been using the Whittle Valley pet hotel for a couple of years now. I usually leave our rabbit about 4 times a year with Kirsty. It's a lovely place and very secure. Kirsty knows everything there is to know about rabbits, she even gave me advice when my rabbit had an operation. I would definitely recommend this hotel, Kirsty is very welcoming and I feel very happy leaving our rabbit in her care.

I have used the facility for 3 years plus.
My rabbit is always looked after well. I know
I can go away on holiday and enjoy myself
With the care that is delivered there. Fresh vegetables and water on a daily basis. My rabbit actually sulks when it’s time to come home. But the level of care which is delivered is 5 star. Thank you Kirsty.
