About our Small Pet Boarding

I am a farmers daughter that grew up with animals large and small. Fast forwarding to now, we have our own smallholding in Suffolk with an assortment of animals including goats and chickens.
We understand how tricky it can be to find reliable, local pet boarding which is why Happy Hutches has been created.
Two people are involved in the day to day care which ensures we can offer cover for your animals all year round.

Accommodation:

Happy Hutches HQ comprises of a purpose built building, fully kitted out to accommodate plastic/wire cages, each cage is thoroughly disinfected between guests and cages are separated so that no animal can touch another.
There are two sizes of cages available with various bedding options. Owners of rodents and birds are encouraged to bring their own accommodation but cages can be provided if needed.
Pet owners are most welcome to bring along their pets’ own toys and snuggly items which can be added into their cage for familiarity.

Exercise:

We do not offer outdoor run facilities as we want to keep your pets as safe as possible from disease and predators for their stay.
Our cages come in two sizes with recommendations on the maximum number of animals in each one, on this basis we offer accommodation for a minimum stay of 3 days to a maximum of 3 weeks.

Health & Hygiene:

The Happy Hutches ethos is very much on animal hygiene; therefore, we only use plastic/wire cages for all our indoor pet accommodation, each cage is thoroughly disinfected between guests and cages are separated so that no animal can touch another.
Rabbits MUST be up to date with all vaccinations, no exceptions can be made.
All other animals need to be in good health and to the owners knowledge, disease free. Any animal arriving at Happy Hutches which appears poorly, will not be allowed to stay for the protection of the other guests.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

Rabbits from £10 per day including fresh greens
Guinea pigs from £10 per day including fresh greens
Rodents from £5 per day
Tortoises from £8 per day including fresh greens
Caged birds from £5 per day
All animals need to bring their own grain mixes to avoid upset tummies.
