About our Small Pet Boarding

My name is fiona and I run Pet Friends Small Animal Hotel, I was an Animal Welfare Officer for for 23 years. I am fully experienced with most small animals and qualified in animal first aid and hold diplomas in small animal care. Pet friends are members of Rabbit Welfare Association Fund. I have kept show rabbits myself for over 20yrs and have a love for the Giants which I own that you will see sunning themselves around the lawn areas and greeting you when you arrive. I keep up to date every year with new courses undertaken in small animal care. I am now also working closely with our local agricultural college delivering new animal care courses.

Accommodation:

All our rabbit guests have walk in 6ft x 4ft enclosures in our heated and air conditioned hotel. Guinea pigs have 5ft x 3ft enclosures with Lino flooring and fleece bedding, we even have mini fleece sofas. The hotel has 24 hr background music & a TV for our bird guests to interact with. Our outdoor lodges are fully insulated with heating if needed & have runs attached so access outside straight from their bed areas. Separate grass runs available for our indoor guests for those warm summer days. We have CCTV to be able to monitor our guests.

Exercise:

All accommodation can have access to their own grassed areas for exercise as well as a purpose designed rabbit garden which is fully fenced for extra playtimes in the good weather.

Health & Hygiene:

We do require all rabbits to be fully vaccinated and uptodate with all boosters. We do advise a fly strike spot on treatment is used during the hot summer months before coming to stay if they are going to be playing outside. No animals from different families are mixed at any time. Medication can be administered as required.
We do advise bringing your pets normal dry food so they can stay on their normal diet to avoid stomach upset. There are a selection of home made cookies for their snack time and we offer 3 different types of hay aswell as fresh vegetables, herbs & salad we grow at our field. We forage the hedgerows for fresh forage daily.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

Rabbits £10 single or £13 for a bonded pair per day.
Giant Rabbit £12 single or £18 for a bonded pair per day.
Guinea Pigs £9 single or £11 for a bonded pair.
Hamsters/Gerbils /rats £7.00.
Small Cage Birds £7.00
larger birds ie: African Greys/Amazons £10.00
Chickens £5 for up to 2 chickens
Tortoises £8.00 with heat, £7.00 without heat
Chickens £7.00 for up to 2 chickens
Deposit required for our busy times eg: Easter/Christmas .
