About our Home Boarding

Happy Paws is a small independent luxury daycare and boarding family home. It’s run by me, Clare. I’ve had a big variety of animals since I was a child, lots of dogs and I just adore them. Nothing better than fussing a pup!
I worked in Emergency Services front line prior to looking after dogs which makes me very stringent on the safety and welfare of your fluffy loved ones.
I’m fully licensed, insured, DBS checked, pet First Aid trained and will treat your fur baby like my own whilst they are in my care.
I have a little 1 year old resident female cocker spaniel who loves playing with other dogs.
I have 2 teenage boys of my own who have been brought up to treat animals with respect and love.
In my spare time I love walks in the fresh air, running, the gym, theatre, reading a good adventure novel and getting lost in a crime series on the telly box, collecting vintage telephones and painting.

Accommodation:

4 bedroom 3 storey house which dogs can have access to and their own space/room if needed. Garden with patio and grass area all with dog safe plants and 6ft fencing including extra fencing protection and 2 security gates so no opportunity to get out the garden. With 3 locks on the front door of the house for extra security.
Dog blankets, coats, beds, towels, fans and cooling mats available for the dogs comfort. Dogs fully supervised and given lots of cuddles and love.
Boarding dogs can be cuddled up with me on the bed all night if they wish or sleep in a bed or crate if this is their usual routine at home.
My own dog lives at the house and is well socialised with humans and animals, adores playing with other dogs.

Exercise:

Each dog has a daily morning health check.
2 x minimum 20mins a day walks plus enrichment activities such as play, grooming, fuss, dog toys, dog bubble machine, licky mat, snuffle mat, dog ball pool, paddling pool, hide and seek treats/toys, scent toys.

Health & Hygiene:

I have a cleaning schedule, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Dogs are cleaned up after straight away, all spaces are cleaned each evening and everything is disinfected at the very least weekly.

Home Boarding Prices

£25 per day Daycare from 8am to 6pm.
£34 single night boarding from 6pm to 8am.
£36 per night boarding for longer stays.
£15 half day rate 8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm.
£4 per hour for late charges or extra hours.

£12 for an hour walk (for dogs not in daycare or boarding).
£3 for pick up and drop off locally (within 5 miles of Bozeat). 50p per mile outside of that range.

*Please be aware that I am a very small business and I give quality individualised care and love to your dog so I only have 3 dogs at any one time.
Long holiday stays for boarding often means I cannot take daycare dogs and vice versa.
I will only have 1 dog at a time when they are boarding or 2 if they are from the same household.

Free - Join us for a weekly Happy Paws humans and dogs social and mental health pack walk every Sunday at 11am. Location will be a local park and updated on the Happy Paws Doggies Facebook & Instagram pages.

*Full payment required at point of booking for boarding.
Full payment for daycare due by 1st of the month for that calendar month.
Full refunds will be offered for boarding cancellations up to 7 days prior to stay or 48 hours prior to daycare.
All other circumstances for refunds will be considered on a case by case basis and at business owners discretion.

Other Services

My own dog is microchipped and all dogs staying will need proof of microchip and registration, along with up to date vaccinations.
