About our Home Boarding

My husband & I are a family of 3. - our 3rd is our own fur baby a 2 year Boxer called Elsa

We have been doing this for over 8 years.

My husband has been around dogs all his life and we have had our own dogs for over 20 years.

This has given us the experience of looking after all breeds and sizes of dogs , from small to large, happy dogs to dogs that need patience , puppies to seniors and we love them all. We have looked after rescue dogs also.

We understand your apprehension when you leave your fur baby in someone else's care for the first time, we have been there ourselves and this gives us an insight into the things needed to keep your pet happy and settled until you return.

We have looked after dogs for friends and family in the past and are now enjoying having lots of dogs to visit and Elsa loves having additional play mates but does understand that not all want to play.

We adapt the routine and structure of your dogs day to be as close as it is in your home. Your dog will be treated as one of our family however long they are in our care.
While your dogs are in our care, they will be taken for walks, lots of play, attention and especially lots of love, in return we get a lot of waggy tails and sloppy kisses. They sleep inside the house.

We also offer dogs to come for daycare if they don't want to be alone for long periods of time so they have company

Importantly we are fully insured and registered with Tameside Local Authority and Jon holds a diploma in Pet Sitting and Dog walking amongst other qualifications.

Accommodation:

We have a secure garden with 6 foot fencing around all perimeters at the rear of the property.
This has recently been extended to include an extensive play area, fully secure with enhanced CCTV

no unsupervised play at the front of the house.

Structure of your dogs routine and rules is adapted to our home, i.e no furniture rule etc.

Exercise:

We have access to Stalybridge Country Park including Millbrook Dam straight from our back garden, your Dog will be exercised twice daily in this area.

Exercise is on lead exercise - off lead is only in a secure area if a consent form has been signed.

Health & Hygiene:

Our own dog Oscar is fully vaccinated including Kennel Cough Vaccination, we welcome all dogs that are also fully vaccinated.

A copy of your vaccination record will need to be seen prior to your dog coming to visit.

Home Boarding Prices

Dog Boarding 25.00 a day
Additional dog 10.00 a day

dogs under 20 weeks old 30.00

Daycare is £20 -30 dependent on hours with us

If holidaying with us for longer than 25 days please contact us for a quote as reduced rates are available.

A 10.00 supplement is applied for Christmas Day/Boxing Day/New Years Eve and New Years Day.

please note no arrivals or departures are available on a Sunday

Catherine & Jon are so lovely & Oscar their dog is very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them and my boxer puppy really enjoyed her short stay there. She had plenty of walks in the country park nearby. We had photos sent on Whatapp to show how settled she was on her first visit. I will be using Catherine & Jon again instead of the kennels from now on. A great find for looking after my spoilt pooch.

Cath and Jon were brilliant with our pug Lottie. As she is a little livewire, I was a little hesitant about leaving her with someone she isn't familiar with but they were brilliant with her, sending photos and updates and reassurance that all was well. Though only for a night, I wouldn't hesitate in leaving her again! Lovely couple

In the beginning, we were worried about leaving Cookie at the kennels as I knew she would not have liked being in the cage so we decided home boarding is the best option for Cookie so she would not feel alone. I got in touch with Catherine & Jon through Scamps & Champs, Christian and went to meet them before we agreed. We felt confident that Cookie would enjoy her little holiday with them. Since it was our first time leaving her with someone, the couple has updated us daily with photos and we felt satisfied that she has been looked after very well. They kept the routines the same and also kept her entertained with lovely walks and playing with their dog Oscar. She has been bathed before we collected her. We have a very happy dog. Catherine and Jon are really the animal lovers and have a secure, safe and loving home environment. We highly recommend them and will return as a customer again. Thanks very much.
