About our Small Pet Boarding

I have many year’s experience of looking after my own rabbits, and more recently Guinea Pigs. You can leave them at Becky’s Burrow to enjoy your own holiday, having complete peace of mind that they are safe and cared for.

Accommodation:

I currently have 2 hutches (a single story 6ft and a double story 6ft). Both have thermal covers and have access to a small run all day. (I will secure them in their hutch at night). The hutches are outside, in a secure garden. In extreme weather conditions I will take extra measures to keep your pets warm/cool.

I would suggest a visit to Becky’s Burrow prior to your pets stay to make sure you are entirely happy with the accommodation.

Exercise:

All hutches have runs attached which they will have access to all day. At night, I will secure them inside their hutch. In good weather they will also be able to access time out on grass.
I am currently upgrading the accommodation, so rabbits will have a minimum of 2x3m accommodation to include a hutch, which is predator proof and which they will have 24 hour access to. Photos will follow.

Health & Hygiene:

To keep all animals in my care safe, all rabbits will need to be fully vaccinated and proof will be asked for.

Hutches will be spot cleaned daily with a full clean out weekly. Each hutch will be disinfected between guests.

Your pet will be given pellets (provided by you) in the morning and fresh veggies/herbs on an evening. I can provide pellets at a cost of £1 per day, please check which brand I currently have). I will also discuss your pet’s preferences and try to accommodate as best I can.

If your pet takes oral medication, this can be given as directed by you. If your pet become unwell while you are away, I will take them to a vet (after contacting you) and you must pay the bill on your return.

Prices are per day or part of.

Rabbits: Single £10. Bonded pair £16. (Based on dwarf and regular size breeds. Giant breeds can be accommodated, please ask for prices)
Guinea Pigs: Single £10. Bonded pair £16. Bonded trio £18. Larger herds may be accommodated, please ask for details).

Fees to be paid in full at time of booking by bank transfer preferably (with any vets fees to be paid on collection)
