Rabbit and Guinea Pig Retreat

About our Small Pet Boarding

I fostered 31 Rabbits and 13 Guinea pigs for the local animal rescue centre from 2015 to 2021 and have experience with aggressive, timid and challenging animals and animals with special needs.
I appreciate that every animal is unique and has its own specific needs, so I can adapt the care, handling and understanding each specific animal needs to be happy and healthy while you are away.
I have a Rabbit Care, Behaviour and Welfare (level 3) Diploma
I have a Guinea Pig Care and Welfare (level 3) Certificate
I am the proud guardian of 2 adopted rabbits

Accommodation:

Your rabbits will be housed in purpose-built accommodations conforming to the requirements suggested by the RSPCA & RWAF (6ft x 2ft x 2ft) in a safe, dry location. Access to outside play areas is provided via tunnels.
Your Guinea pigs will be housed in purpose-built accommodation (6ft x 2ft x 1.5ft) in a safe, dry location, they won’t have direct access to an outdoor play area but will still get to play outside when the weather is favourable

Health & Hygiene:

Rabbits are required to be fully vaccinated for at least 3 weeks before their stay, with proof of vaccinations provided.
If your pet needs medication while you are away, this can be done for you, but please advise me before their stay.
The enclosures are on hard standing for safety (no digging) and also so they can be thoroughly cleaned between visitors. I use 2 different disinfectants, Anigene for non porous surfaces (Tunnels, plastic toys, treat balls, bowls, plastic hideaways) and Virkon for porous surfaces (hutches, wooden toys)

Prices are for fully inclusive holidays (you just need to supply their usual dry food)

Single Rabbit - per day £7.00
2 Rabbits sharing - per day £11.00
Guinea Pigs
Single Guinea Pig - per day £5.00
Each additional Guinea Pig - per day £2.00
