About our Small Pet Boarding

We board: RabbitsGuinea Pigs

Yarm Bunny Boarding was established in 2014. Our luxury boarding facility is nestled in our garden.

We have lots of experience in caring for pets and pride ourselves on providing exceptional care in a fabulous environment.

Lots of happy customer's comments and pics can be seen on our facebook and instagram pages.

Accommodation:

All hutches inside our Bunny & Piggy Summerhouse are safe, warm and dry. We usually use waterproof fleece liners for guinea pigs and straw bedding for rabbits. There's always an endless supply of farm fresh, quality, long strand hay for eating. Fresh Fruit, Herbs, Vegetables, Treats & Toys provided daily.

The summerhouse has lots of windows giving plenty of natural light and fresh air. Fitted blinds keep it cooler in summer and warm heating is provided in winter to keep your pets cosy.

All our customers comment on what sizeable hutches we have and what a fantastic, friendly, reliable service we provide. They feel comfortable that their pets are truly loved and cared for at Yarm Bunny Boarding.

Exercise:

We are here full time and dedicated to providing exceptional loving care.

Pets all enjoy our lush grass paddock, with large runs and endless space to be explored.

Pets can be put out for a few hours, or can enjoy being out all day, if they prefer. If the weather changes, be it they need bringing in from the rain or need more shade we’re on hand all day. Pets aren't left outdoors unattended.

We are happy to groom and administer meds, however we must be informed in advance of any special meds/dietary needs.

Health & Hygiene:

For the health and well being of your Rabbit all our Rabbit boarders MUST be Vaccinated against Myxomatosis R(V)HD1 and R(V)HD2. Please ask your vet for advice.

They must have been vaccinated at least 3 weeks prior to boarding. We will need to see a current vaccination certificate on the day your pet arrives. No Rabbit will be boarded without a valid certificate shown on arrival.

There are currently no vaccination requirements for guinea pigs.

Rachel has looked after our bunny Flo for the last 3 years and she is amazing! She is always so accommodating with drop off/pick up times, she updates me while we are away and I know she loves every single bunny she looks after! I would give 10 stars if I could! I know Flo is lookwd after to the highest standard when she is at yarm bunny boarding.

My buns have stayed with YBB a few times now and everytime the care my boys have received and the service I have received as an owner has been of the highest quality. Facilities are clean, spacious and Rachel clearly loves caring for the animals. Rachel provides updates via Facebook posts which are always welcomed when I am away and missing my buns. Rachel is very responsive to enquiries so always easy to get them booked in. Rachel makes sure all animals are up to date with vaccines so you know your animals are safe around other people's. I have not always recieved this in other places. 100% recommend for long or short getaways.

My two bunnies go to Rachel so much it's like their second home. She always provides a great welcome and cares for them as I would at home. Rachel is a fountain of knowledge on bunny behaviour and care, I have learnt so much from talking to her. My buns always come back full of beans and like they haven't missed us at all, because they have had such a great time. I book my holidays around Rachel's availability, I wouldn't want my buns to go anywhere else

When I trust Yarm Bunny Boarding to look after Belle I know she's in safe hands. Rachel spends all day looking after the pets in her care, I was so reassured to hear she sits with them whilst they're having outdoor playtime in the garden runs. My Belle is a nervous little soul and Rachel always goes out of her way to accommodate her needs, she always returns home settled and happy. Finding a safe, spacious and caring place to leave our beloved Bunnies is so hard these days with boarders closing and mostly being full and Rachel is certainly one of these safe, happy places.

My pets have been holidaying here for about 8 years! I keep coming back because I know I can trust Rachel to keep my piggies/bunnies safe and take great care of them, including attending to their social needs. Being sent updates, or seeing the photos and videos Rachel posts online is fantastic as it offers extra peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to other pet owners 😊

An exceptional place to board our guinea pigs, with great accomodation and excellent care of your pets when in Rachel's care. Wouldn't use anyone else.

My bunnies have boarded with Yarm Bunny Boarding recently - and will be booked for another stay in the near future! Rachel very kindly showed me around the lovely premises before their first stay, and I felt reassured that I was leaving my bunnies in her capable hands. They certainly seemed to enjoy their time there in the photo updates I saw on the Facebook page while I was away!

I have used Yarm bunny boarding on several occasions and my guinea pigs have always been very well looked after. Rachel is clearly a knowledgeable and extremely caring individual. I have no doubt that when my pets are in her care they will be in the very best hands.

Thank you Squeak Unique for having our piggies to stay with you again! It's so nice to be able to go away knowing that they will be well looked after in your beautiful accommodation. And even though they have stayed with you so many times we still love looking out for their holiday snaps on your Facebook page. See you next holiday 🙂 Jane

Our rabbit Fluff as been going to YBB for about 5yrs now,Rachel is so dedicated, she treats them like they were her own,it can be quite daunting leaving your pet behind when going away but we never feel that leaving Fluff with Rachel,as she loves it there so she's also on her jollies, she's a little sad when she comes home just for a day or so but that's ok because she loves it,it a bit like us when we return from holiday lol.The hutches are a really good size in the lovely decorated shed where they stay overnight, get lots of outdoor exercise in Rachel's lovely spacious garden,we wouldn't take Fluff anywhere else, Rachel takes photos of them all having a great time and keeps you updated on how they are doing do you can totally relax and enjoy your time away 🐰

We've been using Yarm Bunny Boarding for a lot of years now. Quite frankly we would use anyone else! We first took two rabbits. We now take two rabbits and four guinea pigs! Rachel is warmest most caring person you could ever leave your small bundles of joy with. They are remembered from their previous visits, including their names and personality traits. This is absolutely incredible given the amount of animals she must look after each year! They're not only looked after but genuinely cared for. When collecting the pets, Rachel will feed back observations and give advice if she feels it is required. This is always gratefully received 🙂. I cannot recommend Yarm Bunny Boarding enough.

This is the 4th year Oreo and Murphy have spent their holidays at Yarm Bunny & Guinea Pig boarding. I can't recommend Rachel highly enough. She is so friendly and fantastic with our bunnies. The facilities are great and I love the updates on fb. Thank you for looking after them this holiday and I will definitely be booking again.xx

Rachel looked after our 3 piggies while we were on holiday. All my nerves and worries disappeared when I saw how lovely the surroundings were and how dedicated she was. The hutches are very spacious, housed within a beautiful summer house. The exercise area was also fabulously spacious. At this point, I was thinking the piggies were going to have a better time than me! It was also very reassuring knowing that my toothless piggy was cared for by having her food sliced and diced. When I explained Daisy's dental issues, nothing was any trouble. Rachel knew exactly what to do. Will definitely use YBB in the future and of course recommend to everyone who needs small animals cared for. Thank you so much!

Rachel is the perfect host for our dear rabbit, Flopsy. Very knowledgable about the small creatures she takes care of in her well established large gardens. Flopsy is usually housed in her potting sheds, in ample sized cages, very clean and plenty of hay and straw. I particularly love the ‘Laura Ashley' style curtains and bunting she has adorning their sheds. Rachel will let the animals have plenty of exercise out side and regularly updates her fb page to keep you informed of their pleasurable stay.

Our bunny , storm has stayed with Rachel on a number of occasions now , my son is very particular about his much loved pet and yarm bunny boarding is the only place he allows him to stay … the care he receives is amazing and the care and attention to detail second to none … Thankyou

If I could rate yarm bunny board higher than a 5 I would in a heartbeat. Oreo stayed for 4 nights and was well looked after. The regular pictures reassured us that he was settled and loving life. Thank you so much for all the kindness you showed him and look forward to his next stay

5 From Nicole on

Absolutely the best small animal boarding place around. The hutches and boarding area is very clean and the owner is around to put them out in the run weather permitted. Regular photos are provided during their stage and the owner is a genuine animal lover who provides a loving environment for them. Highly recommended

Our two Guinea pigs stayed with Rachel at Yarm Bunny Boarding for a long weekend at the start of April. We're repeat customers although first time for these two. Great accommodation in a cosy shed. All aspects of their stay including medicines were handled with care, and Rachel even constructed a cardboard hidey-hole to help our rather shy pig, Alfie, settle in.

5 From Mark on

It was an absolute pleasure leaving our two rabbits and two guinea pigs with Rachel. She made sure they were well taken care of and was very attentive to their needs. Not only did she provide consistent updates on all four, her kindness and care towards them made us feel absolutely assured that they were in very good hands. We have used Rachel for several years now and will not hesitate to ask her to take care of them again!

To leave a pet with anyone can be daunting. Rachel was the first person outside of my family who looked after my bunnies. She calmed my worries and kept me updated on how they were. My two love their holidays at Yarm Bunny Boarding, so much that they hate coming home. My bunnies are treated like one of her own and I always know they are in safe hands which always allows me to relax and enjoy my holiday. There is lots of grass for them to munch on and the hutches are very spacious. Rachel is very knowledgeable which makes it easier leaving my bunnies with her and you can tell she loves bunnies and loves caring for bunnies and Guinea pigs. I would fully recommend Yarm Bunny Boarding.

Rachel provides a fantastic environment for the rabbits and looks after them as if they were her own. Been using her for a few years now and I'm sure they'd rather be there than at home!! Thank you for looking after them once again, it means we can relax on holiday as we know they're being well looked after and love the photo updates as well.
