About our Small Pet Boarding

We board: Rabbits

I have owed rabbits as long as I can remember! Nowadays we are much more aware of our rabbit's needs and so this is why I set up Hop-a lot. I could not find a place like it! I am a member of RWAF and hold a rabbit welfare and behaviour diploma, level 3. I have many years experience specialising in rabbit care. A deep need for good welfare drives me.

Accommodation:

Our facilities are regularly vet inspected and approved.
All accommodation units are individual.
The Lodges themselves range from 6ft by 4ft and are all fully insulated. The attached enclosures vary in size with the smallest being 6ft by 10ft and the largest being 18ft x 9ft. The Lodges and enclosures are both secured. We also have a Cabin specifically for the use of indoor kept Bunnies which is 15ft x 9ft making it spacious but homely. Again no other bunnies share this with yours. Both Rose cottage and Cornflower Cabin are the largest individual use accomodation in the south west.
Cornflower and Kale cabins have heating in the winter. All bunnies are provided with heat pads and cool pods as necessary.

Exercise:

The rabbits are able to access the enclosure runs at all times through flaps/mini doors to come and go as they please. This gives constant access to shelter, shade and space to exercise. The spacious runs are all roofed, keeping the run dry and creating shade when it's sunny. Equipment and natural resources are used to encourage exercise, promote health, wellbeing and stimulate natural behaviours. Cornflower Cabin for indoor kept bunnies is a spacious area, fully carpeted and designed with all your bunnies needs and desires in mind. This Cabin has no outside area, but this does not mean that natural resources are not used. All natural behaviours are encouraged.

Health & Hygiene:

All rabbits are required to be vaccinated against RHVD1&2 and Myxomatosis at least 2 weeks before their stay. All vaccines must be in date and health book /proof provided. Safe4 is used for cleaning equipment and litter trays. Water bottles and bowls are sterilised as are toys. The house floors are cleaned with small animal friendly disinfectant, while outside enclosure floors are cleaned with correctly diluted bleach and double rinsed. 48 hours airing are given to accomodation in-between stays.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

All Lodges and cabins are £12 per night.
No extra charges for sharing bonded rabbits using the same accomodation. Minimum 3 nights stay.
Prices include all hay, readigrass, bedding of choice and all greens/veg/fruit needed to keep your pets happy. Usual pellets are to be provided by owner to avoid tummy upsets.
A 50% non-refundable / non-transferable deposit is required on booking, either by bank transfer or cash. Full balance will be due on arrival. A receipt will be given.

Please contact me for special offers for extended stays.

My experience of Hop-a lot was great. The room my bunny stayed in for a whole week was clean and full of toys etc. Trudi was super knowledgeable on rabbits so helped me with a healthy feeding plan for my buns. I received updates, with fun photos. I would recommend and will be back again soon!

To be honest, I was really scare to send my bunny to the boarding service to look after since I had a really horrible experience before - my bunny almost died!! (The person who neglected my bunny, no updates, didn't answer my calls, I didn't know what he had been fed... When he was back home, he didn't eat, drink and poop, he looked so painful, I worried that he would die...Had to send him to the vet twice to fix the problems. Worry+Time+Money, worn me out! No ideas why the person still has so many good reviews......) This time, I am so glad to find Trudi@Hop-alot! She's the angel of my bunny, took good care of him, he always had fresh flowers and greens from her garden, I received updates very cute and lovely photos everyday from her! My bunny was happy as Larry during his stay! No issues at all when he's back home, active and healthy, looks like he went on a nice holiday:) Definitely recommend Trudi, she's the best!

Hop-alot boarding with Trudi is the best out there. I highly recommend as a place to stay for your bunnies. Trudi is extremely knowledgable on bunnies, ensuring their environment is full of enrichment and safe bunny toys/food. As my bunnies got older, she adapted what was in their enclosure to make it easier for them. I only have 1 bunny now (Sneezy) who is 10, but I still feel very confident leaving him in Trudi's capable hands. I always receive photo updates during stays too, which is the cutest. I live 45 miles away, but it is definitely worth the travel! Location is also very handy if you're going on holiday in Devon/Cornwall (we've often dropped ours off en route!). Don't hesitate to book your bunnies in, they will be looked after excellently.

Russell had a wonderful time at Hop-alot this week. Wonderful spacious living areas with lots of enrichment and natural snacks to enjoy. The regular updates from Trudi put my mind at rest to know that he had been calm and happy throughout his stay Thank you so much Trudi for looking after my boy so well.

5 From Rebecca on

Trudi is such a lovely lady who provides 1st class boarding for Rabbits. I really struggled to find suitable indoor accommodation for my 2 girls in my local area but luckily found Hop-alot Bunny Boarding which was a little further out but was definitely worth the travel I felt confident and comfortable leaving my Honey and Maple for 2 weeks with Trudi, after speaking with her I knew she had a great knowledge of Rabbits and their welfare needs, something that is not easy to find. I've personally owned rabbits for over 13 years and am currently studying for an Animal Science university degree so it was great to find and be able to talk to her about lots of bunny related care. I will definitely be returning when I need accommodation again both my girls enjoyed their stay, although I was on the other side of the world I could clearly see that they were happy and recieving lots of attention and enrichment through the photos and email updates Trudi sent to me. Thank you

5 From Noela on

I highly recommend Trudi, she is extremely knowledgeable, reliable, caring and thoughtful. She has bonded two of my female rabbits with with new partners as well a looking after my 3 pairs of rabbits when we go on holiday. My rabbits have always settled in well with her despite my concerns for how they will deal with the change. Trudi is very good at reading their body language and understanding their behaviours and monitors them to make sure they are settling in and not stressed and provides so much enrichment that they come home seeming as if they have been on an adventure activity holiday (white bun had clearly had lots of fun digging in the dirt box 😂 ) I always receive regular updates and photos when I leave them with her which is very reassuring. When we go on holiday we tell our bunnies they're off to Auntie Trudi's 😂, she really is a part of their family now! I'm so grateful we found her! Thank you Trudi.

5 From Emma on

Trudi's facility is 5 star accommodation for bunnies, there is so much for them to play with and space to explore. We were blown away by the attention to detail in the houses. Our rabbit Samson had the best time, we don't think he was bothered about coming home! Trudi's love for rabbits really shows through, she took such good care of him, clipping his nails and brushing him, even sewing up his tunnel when he bit through it! Trudi have Samson many different foraging plants that we didn't realise he could have, so we have learnt a lot from her on what different bits he can eat too! She goes above and beyond, we loved the regular updates we received. I couldn't recommend her boarding highly enough, Samson is very excited to be going for another stay later in the year. You can rest assured your rabbit will be cared for and very happy here!

5 From Emily Lawson on

My bunnies always have a great time with Trudi at Hop-alot Bunny Boarding, and I feel very happy and confident leaving them in her care. They have lovely spacious accommodation, always immaculately clean with great toys and things to climb on. I enjoy the regular updates showing them playing and happy and healthy, which are very reassuring. I would now never take my bunnies anywhere else when we go away, as Hop-alot is the best place for them!

5 From Rebecca Mingo on

I cannot recommend Hop-a lot highly enough. I received regular pictures and updates how they were getting on. They had lots of space and enrichment, toys & natural forage, they were groomed and had their nails clipped. When I needed to extend their stay Trudi was more than happy to do so at short notice. Trudi loves these animals like they were her own. Mine will definitely be visiting again - I don't need to look any further! Thank you Trudi ❤️

5 From Kate on

My two rabbits bumble and bear stayed with Trudi for 16 days, they looked like they had the best time, plenty of enrichment, toys, tunnels/ hides etc to keep them busy. She sent regular updates with how they were getting on which was a mind ease especially being abroad and worrying about them. They didn't want to leave when I picked them up :) they had plenty of space to run around and explore, very happy will 100% use hop a lot again :)

5 From Kaya on

We used Trudi for the first time this year and were thrilled with the loving care for our rabbits George and Lulu. It was a wet winters day when we collected them and we felt a little guilty taking them home to our wet garden! They were clearly very happy and content enjoying the toys and new environment. We would highly recommend and will be using again on our next break away without having to worry, thank you Trudi.

5 From Karen McCormick on

My rabbit has just enjoyed a months stay with Trudi and had a wonderful time. She very kindly extended his stay due to unforeseen circumstances, and couldn't have been more accommodating and thoughtful. The accommodation is great, plenty of space and really well thought out with lots of places to hide and explore. Trudi goes the extra mile in every way, providing enrichment toys, puzzles and natural forage. She sends regular updates including photos and videos which are lovely to receive. I can't recommend her highly enough. Your rabbit will be in very safe and knowledgeable hands. I will certainly be using her again soon. If my rabbit had a say his next stay would be as soon as possible.

5 From Sarah Goodbody on

Fantastic rabbit boarding! Returning customers (second of hopefully many stays), dropped our rabbits off whilst in the final stages of bonding. Trudi accommodated for short-notice changes to allow bonding to continue, and kindly reassured us of their progress with daily updates and photos. Trudi has provided the last push and watchful eye to confirm they are finally completely bonded and given advice on how to solidify this into a lasting bond over the coming months at home. Excellent care, very knowledgeable, the best food/treats given, enclosures are very safe, cosy and spacious with toys and tunnels. We compare a stay with Trudi to leaving kids with Grandparents - they get thoroughly spoilt and don't want to come home.

5 From Kerry van der Marel on

Trudi bonded our two rabbits after we struggled to do it ourselves. The facilities were lovely, and our bunnies were really well cared for throughout their stay, with plenty of enrichment. Trudi is very experienced and knowledgeable and got them bonded with no incidents. We were kept up to date throughout with plenty of messages and photos, and we were given very clear instructions on what to do at home to prepare for their return. I would recommend Trudi for bonding, and for taking good care of rabbits during their stay.

5 From Rebecca Mingo on

My rabbit stayed with Trudi for 5 nights recently and was very well looked after. The accommodation is lovely, full of interesting places to explore and hide in. Trudi provided lots of enrichment including puzzles and interesting forage and branches to chew on. She even sent regular photos and videos which were nice to receive, especially as it was obvious he was being very well looked after. I'll be using her again at the end of the month and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. It's very reassuring to know how well Trudi cares for her visitors and how much care and attention she provides.

5 From Sarah Goodbody on

My trio of rabbits visited for 10 day for bonding. Trudi done a great job and they are so much better together. Wouldn't of gotten this far with out her knowledge, advice and commitment. The buns looked so settled and happy with her. Trudi sent me photos and updates everyday which is lovely. Will definitely recommend and I'm sure the buns would love to stay again in the future

5 From Emily Down on

We highly recommend Hop-a lot Bunny Boarding. Our two house rabbits, Toby & Snow, recently stayed for 12 nights in the Bluebell Lodge and had the most wonderful time. When we arrived, Trudi greeted us and helped us carry their things up to the Bluebell Lodge. The lodges themselves are all a bunny's dream! They meet the RWAF's housing guidelines, are predator-proof and have a double door safety system to prevent potential escapes. As soon as their carrier door was opened Toby & Snow came hopping out, it was clear they felt confident and at ease with their surroundings as they were both so eager to explore the lodge. They settled instantly and began using the litter tray and eating hay – this was obviously such a relief and so reassuring for us to see. Throughout their stay Trudi provided lovely local hay, lots of toys, varied enrichment and daily updates with photos and videos which we were so grateful for. Trudi also administered twice daily medication to Snow for her heart condition and arthritis. When we arrived to collect Toby & Snow, we found Toby sunbathing in the litter tray and Snow was relaxing under the chair. It was obvious to see how relaxed and happy they were. Trudi filled us in on all their antics, and it was clear to see how well she had cared for our babies, how she genuinely cares and how passionate and knowledgeable she is about rabbits. As a bunny owner and Registered Veterinary Nurse I cannot recommend Trudi enough.

5 From Shelby on

Buddy & Missy spend just under 3 weeks with Trudi and I honestly wouldn't want them to stay with anyone else. She clearly loves and cares for them as her own. She's very knowledgeable about rabbits and provides them with the best care (including fresh branches and greens from her garden!) she's gives them new things to do each day toys, branches and sends daily photos of them to keep in touch too! They both came back with trimmed nails and as buddy had a slight issue with sore hocks she took it upon her self to soothe these and treat these too. She goes over and beyond and I can't wait to book buddy and Missy in again for the next time we go away! 😄

5 From Jess Flory on

Binksy and Baxter boarded for 8 nights with Trudi and had the most amazing time! Trudi has excellent facilities which provides a comfortable and perfect environment for bunnies. We are new owners of bunnies and Trudi is so knowledgeable and provided us with advice and guidance which has been so valuable. Binksy and Baxter are both shy nervous bunnies but both settled into Trudi's within minutes. They stayed during the intense heat and we were so grateful they were with Trudi as she managed to keep them cool and shaded. They also enjoyed a new diet of greens from her lovely garden! Whilst we were away Trudi sent daily pictures, videos and updates. We so looked forward to these messages and Trudi takes great pictures! We would recommend Hop-alot to any bunny owners! Binksy & Baxter thoroughly enjoyed their stay and I think they cannot wait to go back soon! Thank you Trudi.

5 From Cheryl Spear on

Our elderly bunny became unwell a day before we were due to go away, our local vets practice recommended Trudi as an experienced handler who may be able to support with the daily medication he would require. Trudi was full but knowing it was an emergency was able to make a temporary enclosure to support looking after him whilst we were away. We got regular updates and it was obvious he was spoilt and was enjoying his little break. When we came back he was much much better and had obviously been well cared for. We have already booked for a second trip in a few months knowing he will again be well cared for. We would highly recommend Trudi to care for your bunnies whilst you are away.

5 From Beth Pell on

Terry and June checked into Lodge 2 for 7 nights. This is their first time in boarding and did quite a bit of research into various places before choosing Hop-a lot. I was reassured that Trudi asked all the right questions and asked for a really comprehensive form to be filled out about Vaccinations, their food, their personality etc. Terry and June are indoor bunnies but used to having daily access to the garden. The lodge had a beautiful big run and indoor space, with tunnels and shelters to hide. The buns quickly discovered the cat flap which they seemed to prefer using than the door to get in and out the indoor enclosure. Trudi grows all her own forage so they were treated to fresh herbs and woody snacks to know on like hazel and applewood. I was able to spend as much time as I wanted to settle them in and got photos and updates daily, which I really appreciated. It truly is a VIP bunny hotel. Thanks Trudi for taking such great care of them!

5 From Helen on

Toffee and Totoro had a wonderful stay - thank you so much for looking after them so well. Thanks also for all the useful tips about rabbit care, so helpful to have advice as we are new to rabbit owning.

5 From Nick on

Neither Dennis Hopper the lionhead house bunny nor his giant big dog brother had ever stayed anywhere that wasn't with friends/family or at our own house with regular visitors when I've been away. Dennis has now been the first to break that norm - he got to stay at Trudi's indoor bunny Lodge whilst the dog and I travelled up north for a few days. Trudi was very good at calming my nerves by immediately replying to all of my queries. As soon as I had dropped Dennis off I knew he was in bunny paradise. (I left to him chomping away on a giant pile of fresh brambles) Throughout his stay I was updated with pictures and text messages, and Trudi even worked absolute wonders on those pesky mats he loves to hide in his fluff (and won't let me near). On my return I did NOT have to grovel at all (if I leave him bored for too long he literally makes me work to get back on his good side - I only get to talk to his bum for a few hours; I'm sure other bunnies' humans know what I'm talking about). - Trudi's Lodge is absolutely Dennis Hopper approved!

5 From Kat O on

I was a bit anxious leaving Lullah as she had been booked in with her partner who has since died and never been left on her own. Trudi was fantastic reassuring me and showing me around. The facilities and location are excellent and to be honest Lullah has thrived with all the care and attention she has received from Trudi. Over the ten days she was there Trudi sent me regular updates and photos and clipped her nails as part of the service. I would highly recommend Hop-alot and would definitely use again.

5 From Kath Shelley on

I highly recommend Trudi and her Hop-a lot Bunny Boarding services. You will not be disappointed! As new rabbit owners we were worried about finding a suitable person and place for our bunny babies to stay when we go away, who loves and looks after them as much as we do and we've found it! Trudi is amazing, friendly, welcoming and caring. The lodges are immaculate, clean, sizeable with tunnels, platforms, toys and other bunny entertainment. They are so very well looked after and cared for, they are fed and treated to home grown branches, leaves and flowers. It is so reassuring to know they are so looked after when we are away and Trudi also sends us regular updates and photos too! Trudi has also helped us out with her mountain of knowledge and advice which has been invaluable - she really is a star! Our bunnies love it there! I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone.

5 From Linsey on

Absolutely amazing lady, our bunnies Sooty and Sweep have just spent 8 nights with Trudi and she's just the best, sent photos and updates every day, beautiful accommodation specially for house bunnies, very knowledgeable on how to care for rabbits and happy to give advice. We will most definitely be using her again next time we go away. Really can't recommend her enough.

5 From Gemma Hudson on

My duo dropped off for a festive time with Trudi. This is their third time - absolutely excellent. Always impressed.

5 From Fiona on

We've just picked up our four from the wonderful Hop-alot Bunny Boarding in Okehampton (Devon) after a few days away. Trudi is absolutely WONDERFUL with them, and clearly puts so much effort, love and attention into caring for all the animals that stay with her. She has indoor and outdoor accommodation, our four had their own private shed that was fully insulated and carpeted, decked out to look like a cute little living room! She even had curtains on the windows! Not to mention Trudi gathers her own branches, leaves and snacks for them to munch on. Honestly we were almost sad to bring them home they were looked after so well! We're even midway through bonding and she kept that up while they were there, and has given us loads of advice too. So, SO worth a try if you need bun accommodation anywhere down here. We drove an hour from home just so that they could stay there!

5 From Abbie on

I would highly recommend hop a lot bunny boarding. The accommodation was really lovely and big for my 2 free roam house bunnies. I was nervous about leaving my Myrtle as she has problems with her teeth and can stop eating suddenly. Trudi was obviously very knowledgeable and happy to administer medication if necessary. She sent me daily updates and photos as reassurance. Both bunnies were spoilt with freshly foraged greens and very comfortable. They are booked in again in August and I will be using Trudi again in the future.

5 From Rebecca Cruse on

Very happy to leave Hazel here with Trudi knowing she is in excellent hands, well taken care of and very happy, one very happy rabbit.

5 From Kathleen Clark on

Trudi looked after our bunny beautifully, giving him delicious healthy treats throughout his stay and even sending us a video to reassure us that he had settled in well. She took great care of him and he was very happy and relaxed when we picked him up. We highly recommend!

5 From Jo on

I would have no hesitation in recommending Hop-a lot Bunny boarding. Our bunny Toffee was looked after so well by Trudi. She had her own spacious lodge and was given fresh herbs and brambles to eat and tunnels and toys to play with. Trudi knows so much about rabbits and genuinely cares for them. We will definitely be using her again.

5 From Chrissie on

We have used Hop a lot bunny boarding for years. Trudi is just fantastic. More recently we have used her expertise to board and bond our two bunnies. Trudi's service again was perfect, she kept me updated every day with photos. Provided comprehensive advice on how to maintain the bond when home. Trudi spent countless hours with our rabbits to ensure she really tried everything to bond them. I cannot fault her. Trudi also has a new bunny run which is specifically for indoor house buns. It is decorated with bunny photos and curtains which was a lovely touch but also filled us with confidence that every detail is thought about. I will continue to use and recommend Trudi to every bunny owner I know.

5 From Clare on

A bunny home from home! We could not have hoped to have found anywhere nicer to leave our 3 rabbits when we went away this year. Trudi, the owner is lovely and cares for them as if they were her own, spending time playing with them in the run, cutting them special fresh treats from her garden and even sending us regular photos (one shown) whilst we were away so we could see they were also having a great holiday. The runs are big and clean with lots to keep them entertained and the setting is quiet, so they came back in excellent health and relaxed - unlike where we had previously boarded them. In fact, returning home to us was proably a downgrade in respect of accommodation! Having peace of mind that your pets are being well cared for and happy when you go away is priceless and having found Trudi, we would never consider going anywhere else.

5 From Hale Family on

We finally managed a holiday this year and needed our son's rabbit looking after. Once again, the only sensible choice was Trudi at 'Hop-alot' boarding for small animals. The care, love and kindness she has shown for 'Jasper' in the past makes her the only person my son trusts with him when we are away! I recommend Trudi and the amazing quality of accommodation she has for rabbits highly.

5 From John on

My single rex bunny stayed with Trudy last October. As he's a house bunny with room to roam it was good to know that he had a big sheltered enclosure. I'd recommend Trudy's bunny heaven. She's put a lot of thought and hard work into setting up these fantastic spaces. The enclosures are perfect for almost all rabbits, except for my rex rabbit who has had sore hocks (bald/sore feet) in the past - before he was rescued. This is only due to the hard floor - needed to keep good hygiene for guest bunnies :) Trudy did her best to cater for this and she put down an extra rug to keep his feet off the hard floor and thoughtfully altered the living space. She was very good regarding this. She provided him with lots of toys and healthy treats and gave me updates while I was away. She's made a lovely space for house bunnies and free range bunnies.

5 From D on

I can not recommend Trudi enough to give your pet the best possible care imaginable! (I think my buns were sad to leave her and come home!) the accommodation she has created for the rabbits/guinea pigs is incredible and she goes to so much trouble to provide them with freshly grown vegetables, herbs and suitable foraging and apple branches to chew from her beautiful garden. My rabbits are entirely free range in my house and garden so I needed to find holiday accommodation that allows them as much space as possible, and what trudi provided was perfect. I could not be more satisfied or trust anyone more with the care of my much loved rabbits. Will be booking them in for holidays in 2020!

5 From Katie WEBB on

Thank you once again Trudie for the superb service you provide. We went away leaving our two guinea pigs in your capable hands knowing that they were going to be very well looked after. I can not recommend you and the service you provide highly enough!

5 From Penny Cartwright on

Olaf and clementine came back perky. Trudi sent pictures of how they were doing and kept amused with a wide range of food and toys. I would recommend.

5 From Tiana Hammond on

I boarded my rabbit Fred with Trudi at hop a lot for 3 weeks. I chose this boarding having looked at several others because the rabbit accommodation at is brilliant, really spacious with lots of room for bunnies to hop about! Trudi provides lots of fresh branches for bunnies to chew on and toys to keep them amused and it is clear that she treats all the bunnies in her care as she would do her own! It's been reassuring to have lots of regular updates of Fred enjoying his holidays and see photos of him looking so relaxed and happy! I would definitely recommend Hop a lot boarding to others looking to house their bunnies and hope to book Fred in for our holidays next year

5 From Jackie Webber on

5 star treatment and boarding with detail to each of my bunnies individual needs, one being elderly and another recovering from op.Trudi gave particuarly attention to their special needs and extra attention. They were given brambles and a variety of fresh greens in addition to their usual food, plus she gave me some dried nettles to take home!

5 From Dieuwke Lodeweegs on

I left my two French Lop bunnies with Trudi for two weeks. I couldn't have asked for a better boarding experience. Trudi sent me lots of photos of my boys and spoilt them rotten with lots of vegetable treats and new toys to play with. Couldn't recommend enough, will definitely be using again.

5 From Kylie O Gorman on

Cornflake had his 2nd stay with Trudi and was there for over 2 weeks. He had a lovely time and it looked like he really enjoyed himself. Trudi is very knowledgable and provides a variety of toys on rotation and she actually spent time with him each day. Will be using her for all our bunny boarding needs in the future if she has room!

5 From Rebecca Lowson on

Trudi was absolutely brilliant with our bunnies. She has so much knowledge and it's obvious how much she cares about them. The hutches are great - plenty of outdoor and indoor space and absolutely spotless! She also provides lots of fresh branches for them to sink their teeth into from around her garden. Our bunnies settled in straight away and it was obvious from the lovely photos Trudi sent us how happy they were there. I don't think they wanted to come home with us!! I can't think of a better person to leave our little buns with!

5 From Gemma on

We used Hop-alot for our rabbit whilst we were away for half term. The accommodation was brilliant and Trudi was great. She provided updates, pictures and videos to let us know how he was getting on. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using Hop-alot again!

5 From Rebecca on

Our rabbit stayed with Trudi for the 2nd time earlier on this month and we couldn't be more grateful. Trudi is professional, caring and is clearly an expert when it comes to rabbits. He seems to love his time there and Trudi kept us up to date with pictures and texts. Even reasurring us that he was happy in the snow! Thank you again!

5 From Jenny McAdam on

Trudi is fabulous and her accommodation for both Rabbits and Guinea Pigs is brilliant. Thermal lined sheds, which have been designed with care into bunny boutiques, with weatherproof runs which are secure and accessible for the animals during their stay. Trudi allowed us to visit her prior to our rabbit staying and showed us the different types of accommodation offered, Trudi also took the time to learn about our rabbit, his likes/dislikes and also his daily routine, to minimilise disruption to him - which appeared to work well as he returned home happy and settled. During his stay Trudi kept us informed with regular updates and pictures of how he was settling in, which provided great reassurance. I couldn't recommend Hop-alot Bunny Boarding enough!

5 From Clare on

I couldn't be happier with Trudi's service at Hop-a lot! I was away during Christmas for 2weeks and I came back to two happy and relaxed bunnies! One of them has long fur and can have problems with it and Trudi took special care not only to groom her really well but also to share some of her valued experience and knowledge with me. I'm a first time rabbit owner so her patience with me is greatly appreciated! I found Trudi to be excellent at communication too so I was never worried. She was always clear and competent. I highly reccomend and I think my bunnies would too!

5 From Marta on

Trudi has luxurious accommodation for rabbits and guinea pigs, who have an indoor area and a large run. But the best thing of all is how much she loves the animals and cares for them individually, thinking of everything that will make them feel settled and comfortable. I can't think of a lovelier place for your small pet to stay.

5 From Kate Howells on

Chandler had a great time, Trudi kept us up to date with pictures of him which was very reassuring, felt like he was in safe hands and would certainly use Hop a lot boarding again.

5 From Jenny on

Hop-alot offers 5* accomodation and service. The lodges are insulated and the large run area has a concrete floor. There's lots of room for the bunnies to safely hop around in and Trudi gives them branches and foliage from her garden and a sand box to dig in. She kept us up to date with photos and clipped their nails. It was a bit of a drive from Plymouth but well worth it we will definitely be using hop-alot again :-)

5 From Tracey on

It is extremely hard to find good Bunny boarding, so I was very pleased to find Trudi, who is dedicated to the care of your pet, she is very knowledgeable in all aspects of rabbit care and has an excellent rabbit vet, just down the road if needed. She also sends updates on how your rabbits are everyday, which I very much appreciated. I will definitely book my buns in with Trudi again

5 From Janet on

A very well run bunny boarding which has a good number of spacious self contained runs. Our rabbits were both kept entertained with a number of toys and treats and seemed to really enjoy their time at the boarding

5 From Christopher Rees-Lloyd on

There aren't many places that will look after rabbits whilst you go on holiday, but I'm so glad we found Hop-a lot Bunny Boarding. Trudi has genuine love for these animals and has made accommodation that is unrivalled in in my opinion that my sons rabbit was very comfortable staying in. She looked after him so well and even sent photos to us whilst we were away of Jasper (the rabbit) so that my son could see how relaxed he was! We shall -most definitely- be booking him in again when we go away. A highly recommended place for you to book, 5 star from us.

5 From John on

From the moment I dropped off my guinea pigs, Trudi completely put my mind at rest with her professionalism and obvious love for their wellbeing. The accommodation is superb, clean, safe and I knew they'd have a fantastic time and be well cared for. During our holiday, we received emails with photos and how well they'd settled, which was so reassuring for us. Can't rate her high enough and just so pleased to have found such a fantastic boarding facility for my guinea pigs, thank you.
