About our Small Pet Boarding

Fieldhead Pet Stays is a small family run business dedicated to the care of the visiting animals whilst their owners are on holiday too. I am a member of Rabbit Welfare, and I have a great deal of knowledge about animals in general. Having being raised on a working dairy farm, and always having lots of pets. I have also owned and run my own dog walking business, Hiking Hounds for the last 14-15 years, and have recently taken on the help of my daughter.

Accommodation:

The rabbit hutches are in a dedicated building, secure and away from the elements, although have plenty of fresh air. The rabbit hutches are predominantly 6' x 2', sat onto of a 6' x 8' run allowing the rabbits to play whenever they like.
The other hutches for the smaller visitors are the same 6' x 2' hutches but without the run beneath.

Exercise:

With the hutches and runs set out on a permanent basis the rabbits get to play as much as they like within their own run.
Although there isn't a grassed area, we find this to be the best way to avoid any cross contamination and easier to keep clean.

Health & Hygiene:

All visiting pets to Fieldhead Pet Stays have to bring with them their proof of vaccination, usually in the booklet provided by the vet, with which they are registered. All vaccinations should be completed at least 4 weeks prior to their stay.

Please ask if you have other animals you need looking after, but these prices give an indication of what we offer .... all prices are per day (24 hour)

Other Services

I also run a dog walking business, this offers such services as cat home visits, if you have a nervous cat, or one who just prefers to stay at home, dog walking, but both of these services have to be local to where we already cover, eg Cleckheaton, Oakenshaw and Scholes. Whereas the dogs that visit for home boarding can be from further afield.
