About our Small Pet Boarding

Our aim here at Dee's Den is to give your furry family members all the care and comfort they require, giving you complete peace of mind whilst you are away. We can board your pet short-term or long-term, just tell us your requirements and we'll do our very best to help you.
We have over 20 years experience of caring for our own animals and at the moment we are proud owners of four rabbits, one guinea pig and a very special dog called Ned!
So we understand how much your pets mean to you and can promise you that they will be treated as if they are one of our own furry family members during their stay with us.

Accommodation:

I have spacious hutches housed in my den, which is a converted shed with insulation, heating for the colder months and air conditioning for the summer.
I have large runs outside for guests to exercise daily, toys are also provided.
I have further accommodation outdoors
-The Ritz
-Bunningham Palace
-Hillington
-The Nest
All with their own private runs.
These are suitable for giant breeds or groups of bonded rabbits.

During the colder months all our guests will be provided with a snugglesafe heatpads during their stay.

I do ask that you bring along their usual pellets, I feel that this is better for their sensitive tummies.
Timothy hay, fibre sticks, fresh herbs, forage and greens are included in the boarding fee.

Drop of and collections are strictly by appointment only, please let me know if you are running late.

Exercise:

If your pet is boarding with us in the larger accommodation they will have access to their own private run throughout the day.
For rabbits and guinea pigs staying in our den they will get daily play-time outside in one of my runs with toys available.

Health & Hygiene:

All our accommodation is lined with lino for hygiene reasons.
At the start of everyday litter trays are cleaned and refilled, lino areas are swept, and every 3-4 days a complete clean is carried out.
All accommodation, run areas and toys are thoroughly disinfected between guests with a veterinary grade disinfectant.

***All rabbits that board with me MUST be vaccinated. I do ask that you provide proof of this before their stay.
***They would need the vaccine at least two weeks prior their stay to give them adequate protection by the time their holiday begins with me.
***Please check with your vets to make sure your rabbits are protected from all three diseases.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

Our boarding prices vary depending on the accommodation and the amount of rabbits or guinea pigs sharing.

Boarding prices for The Den:
1 Rabbit - £10
2 Rabbits - £10.00 (sharing a hutch)
3 Rabbits - £11.00 (sharing a hutch)

1 Guinea pig - £9.00
2 Guinea pigs - £10.00 (sharing a hutch)
3 Guinea pigs - £11.00 (sharing a hutch)
4 Guinea pigs - £12.00 (sharing a hutch)

Boarding prices for the large outdoor accommodation:

-The Ritz - £15.00 for 1-2 rabbits sharing (each additional rabbit sharing is £1.00 extra)

-Bunningham Palace - £15.00 for 1-2 rabbits sharing (each additional rabbit sharing is £1.00 extra)

-The Hyde - £14.00 for 2 rabbits sharing (each additional rabbit sharing is £1.00 extra)

-The Nest - £14.00 for 2 rabbits sharing

If you require two hutches or more due to your pets not being bonding I offer a 15% discount off the total price.

All prices are per a day, including drop off and pick up days.
No extra charge for bank holidays, Christmas holidays or new year.
No deposit required.
No cancellation fee, I just ask that if your holiday plans change to let me know as soon as possible.

Payment is due on arrival, by cash or bank transfer the day before.

-High quality timothy hay, fibre sticks, fresh herbs, quality dried forage and greens.
-A wide range of salad and vegetables for guinea pigs.
-Spacious accommodation, daily runs with toys and enrichment.
-In The Den heating or air conditioning depending on the time of year.
-F10 fly repellent applied on arrival if necessary.
-Updates for you during your pets stay.
-Nail clipping upon request BUT only if your rabbit or guinea pig will tolerate it.
-Brushing for long haired or moulting rabbits.
-All boarding is in my back garden and it's my full-time job, so I'm on hand around the clock tending to all my guests needs.
