About our Rabbit Boarding

Hi everyone, my name is Lisa, Wheeks & Wiggles is my own small ‘all things guinea pig and Rabbit’ business offering grooming, boarding and advice. I am insured, DBS checked and have qualifications in Guinea pig Care, Rabbit Care and small animal sitting.
Firstly, I am not just a crazy guinea pig lady, I am a passionate animal lover, enthusiastic karaoke singer and family orientated, down to earth person.
I have a wealth of experience with guinea pigs and Rabbits, having kept them since an early age. Without giving away how old I am (a women never tells her age!), you can be safe in the knowledge I have over 25 years’ experience with guinea pigs, Rabbits and small furies.
I set up Wheeks and Wiggles because guinea pigs and Rabbits are one of the best pets anyone, any age can own. They bring so much joy to many and are great healers when it comes to mental health support too (aka therapy guinea pigs). Wheeks & Wiggles is a safe place for all piggy and Bun parents to feel their beloved pets are in good hands. Whether they come to see us for a groom, a health check, piggycation or Hoptel stay, your pet is part of our family.
Wheeks & Wiggles is run from our home in the village of Sutton, Norfolk. My Husband assists me with the business and as you get to know me and use Wheeks & Wiggles Services, you will see how committed we both are to animal welfare and care.

Accommodation:

Wheeks & Wiggles HQ is a purpose built chalet shed containing a block of 4 large hutches for our lovely guests. Each hutch meets RSPCA hutch size guidance. We also offer outside hutch accommodation and C&C style indoor boarding. For Rabbits we have the Luxury Wheeks and Wiggles Den as well as indoor puppy pens with lots of toys and treats to keep your bun entertained.
We have a variety of bedding choices to ensure your pet is comfortable and has what they are used to. You can also bring along some of their things to make it extra homely.
If your pet is used to being housed inside, we can accommodate this to ensure a real home from home experience (please note you may need to provide suitable indoor cage)

Exercise:

Your pet will receive exercise every day and we have a variety of runs for them to try out.
We are a guinea pig and bunny only household, meaning your pets will not mix with any other species of animals. Our house bunnies, Darcy and Teddy are both fully vaccinated. The Ledgerwood Herd is housed in the same chalet, so your guineas will always have friendly neighbours around them.

Health & Hygiene:

The health and hygiene of your pet is paramount during their stay with us. All hutches are thoroughly disinfected their stay and deep cleaned between boarding guests. Bowls, water bottles and hides are also cleaned fully between boarders.
When booking to board with us, we will ask about the health of your pet and ensure they are fit and well. We request all bunnies are fully vaccinated and ask you to provide their valid annual booster documentation.
Should your pet become unwell during their stay, as per our T&Cs we will seek local veterinary care for them (please refer to T&Cs for full conditions). For Existing medication needs, we are more than happy to administer these during their stay (small fee may apply).
During their stay, each pet will receive a complementary health check. A discount of 10% is offered for all boarding guests if they require a full groom during their stay.

Prices are based on two guinea pigs sharing; however we are happy to discuss larger group boarding. During your pets stay we will provide all food (cereal & veggies), daily fresh hay, as well as clean accommodation and 10% off grooming. Special dietary needs can be accommodated, please note a small extra charge may apply.
No request is too much, please just ask if your pet has any diva requests and / or favorite things to eat and do. Lots of attention & cuddles is guaranteed during their stay.

All boarding bookings require a £10 booking deposit per pet to secure your slot. This is payable on booking and is non refundable.

With over 25 years’ experience of guinea pig, Rabbit and small animal ownership & care, Lisa is

During a grooming appointment or whilst boarding with Wheeks & Wiggles, Lisa will always give
your pet a general health check. If anything is picked up during this check, seeking veterinary advice
will be advised.

If Lisa is concerned regarding the welfare of your pet, questions will be asked to establish any
advice that may be needed to enhance the care they receive.

This will not be meant to offend any owner as at Wheeks and Wiggles, animal welfare is our priority.

‘Bath, Blow Dry & Floof ‘
£12 Short Hair / £14 Long Hair – Calling all Guinea Pigs, big, small, long hair, short hair, curly hair, and all in between! This groom is a SPA trip for your piggy, giving them a spruced-up trim and leaving them smelling divine

‘The full Toodles’ £15 – This one is especially for the long, crazy haired piggies that need a good wash, full short cut, and spruce #summerready #messypiggy

‘Boar Special’ £14 – Boys can be smelly, let Lisa take care of the ‘Crown Jewels’ to keep your boar clean and fresh as a daisy down there (private parts, testicles, and perineal sac check & clean) #forboarsonly

All grooming sessions above include nail cutting,
health check, ear clean and bath. Appointments are approximately for 1 hour per guinea pig

Bath Guidance: Guineapigs only need a bath every 3-6 months or when required for medical reasons. Lisa can advise further on this and will keep records of bath times so your piggy stays healthy, fresh, and clean.

Appointments
We offer a drop off only service and request owners return when requested following treatment to
pick up their piggy.
Payment
Fee for treatment to be agreed on booking appointment, please refer to our price list and select what you would like for your guinea pig. Cash and Card Payments accepted - Card will incur a £1 fee

Home Visits
Home visits are available and are dependent on location and Lisa’s availability. A fee will be calculated upon request to include fuel, vehicle wear and travel time.
