The Dog Hotel

We have used Florence during the last two years for overnight stays and week long holidays and would recommend her to any body looking for a loving home for their dogs. She is very responsible, knowledgeable and professional also she genuinely loves dogs. We looked for a long time to find a boarder and are so pleased we found Florence to leave our lovely dog Teddy in safe loving hands. So five stars plus for Florence.

Maggie went to stay with Flo whilst I was in hospital having surgery. I like the fact that Flo is very particular as to which dogs she has to stay with her and requires a pre-stay session to make sure they are well behaved and they get to know her. Maggie was only a year old and a typical half poodle, very attached to me. So I was concerned as to how she would cope but I need not have worried as she came back a happy little dog obviously having enjoyed herself. Maggie will definitely be going to stay with Flo again.

We have been using Flo since last summer. Monty loves it at Flo's, he drags me up the steps to get to her front door! Flo is always cheery and I know that she takes excellent care on Monty while we're away. Monty has been to stay with Flo three times now and he seems to enjoy it more and more each time he goes.

We have been using The Dog Hotel since Benji was a young pup. He is now nearly two. Having researched several dog sitters, we felt this suited us and Benji the most. Flo filled us with confidence and has always given us a five star service. Benji loves going to ‘Auntie' Flo's, and gets very excited when he sees his bag packed. Flo runs her business with great expertise and professionalism. Her home is very clean and the dogs she looks after are carefully vetted. Benji always comes home happy and clean. We would highly recommend Flo and her Dog Hotel. You can leave your dog with confidence knowing your precious pet is being genuinely cared for.

Bonnie has been going to Flo's for the last 2 years. Flo is great with bonnie - bonnie knows Flo's name and gets very excited when I tell her that she's going there! She must have a lovely time when she's there! Flo tells me about their adventures and it all sounds brilliant. I feel 100% that bonnie is safe and happy with flo. Sometimes I need to ask that flo is flexible with bookings to fit around my diary and she always seeks to accommodate the requests. The other dogs that stay all seem lovely and are great company to bonnie..... Sometimes I get sent photos of bonnie with her friends! In short - if you want the best for your dog - here's the place!

Willow loves Flo, she is in my phone as Willow's second mumma! I have NO worries leaving Willow and Willow has NO worries with me leaving her either! She waltzes off and doesn't even look back at me! We feel like we have known Flo for years and I know Willow is in safe hands and I can go to work/have a social evening or go away for a few days. I hope Flo will be part of our little family for many years to come

From the moment I first contacted Florence about meeting our Cavapoo puppy, Belle she couldn't have been more helpful. We were looking for someone to look after our pup quite regularly and for extended periods of time when we are on holiday and have found the perfect person! As Belle would only be 9 months old the first time she stayed, we were quite anxious about leaving her but as soon as we met Florence any anxieties completely disappeared - we could see how loved and well looked after she would be. Florence took time to get to know and for Belle to be familiar with her surroundings before we went away and was extremely accommodating. Being so young, Belle took a few nights to settle but Florence was brilliant at keeping us updated with how she was doing and couldn't have been more patient and kind with our pup. Belle loved her 3 week Summer holiday and is looking forward to spending lots more time with Flo in the future. I would highly recommend Florence to anyone looking for home boarding in Torbay and feel really lucky to have found someone we feel so at ease with looking after Belle for us. Thank you Flo!

Florence is a very professional lady. We have Charlie Maltese cross bichon frise who absolutely loves and adore Florence. We can go on HOLIDAY and totally relax because we know Charlie will be looked after above ours expectations 😀😀During holidays we also received update about our Charlie which our son loved it. Our lovely Shih tzu Hettie has stayed with Flo a few times now.When we pick her up she is always full of beans!So we know she has enjoyed her stay. We are so lucky to have found Flo.We are able to enjoy our time away knowing Hettie is in good hands.

I searched the internet to find a good dog hotel as we were going abroad for two weeks. I came across flo's advert and was impressed by the reviews, We did a trial run for a day and both Bonnie and Flo were fine so we booked the holiday. Normally when you go away you worry about your dog as normal kennels are impersonal, on returning from our hols Bonnie was sprightly and in good shape seemed she enjoyed her hols too. we have booked Bonnie in again on two more breaks we have and I have no reservations she will be well looked after by our lovely Flo.

Our three year old Cavachon Holly has been a guest at the Doggy Hotel now for about 2 years, when we arrive at Flo's house she is so excited to go in and meet some new and old friends, and very often doesn't even notice we have gone, we feel totally relaxed when leaving her Flo is amazing and always keeps in touch when we are away, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Doggy Hotel to anyone.

Daisy has been going to Flo more or less since Flo started taking doggy guests. Daisy cannot speak highly enough about how happy she is staying with Flo. She clearly is very happy to see Flo whenever we take her there, and she returns home speaking better French after each visit.

Lola has just spent 20 days with flo, she has no doubt enjoyed her time with flo and her doggie friends. Lola has stayed many time with flo in the past year and is always happy to be left with her. What a blessing finding Flo, our Jack Russell Sam stayed with her for a few days at quite short notice. It was good to have checks done, so we know Sam will be mixing with healthy dogs too. Sam returned home happy and contented, so we would have no problem with him staying with Flo again.

This year our little dog "Pixie" has stayed with Flo on a number of occasions and seems to love it. Whenever I take her she bounds up the steps to greet Flo and Pixie seems happy to be there. Flo's business is registered with the local council and she takes her responsibilities very seriously, she complies with the current regulations and makes sure the dogs that stay with her are clean and up to date with their injections. Due to unforeseen circumstances we have on three occasions asked Flo to take Pixie at the last minute and Flo has agreed straight away which was very helpful to us. Without any hesitation I will leave Pixie with Flo when I go away at Xmas and in the Spring. I will be happy in the knowledge that Pixie will be happy and well taken care of and that means a lot to a caring pet owner. I would truthfully recommend Flo to all small dog owners who wish to board their pet for a day or longer, but do not pinch my spot.

Flo is a wonderful, caring and conscientious lady. She is devoted to dogs and I would heartily recommend her to look after your precious pets. We have two papillons, one sociable and the other nervous and ill-at-ease with those he doesn't know well. Alfie took to Flo immediately and she is now his best friend. I have never met anyone whom Alfie has "befriended" so quickly. As for Dora, she pulls us op the steps to Flo's house. They are very content there; I feel at ease leaving them in such good hands. Flo is very special.

Milou has stayed with Florence for the first time because we had to go home to Germany for Christmas. After our first contact with Florence we were sure: that is the right place for Milou to stay and for us to really feel relaxed about leaving him while being away. Florence was responsible from our first contact onwards, asking us to bring Milou for one night to see if she, Milou and the other guests would get along well. After this 'test visit' we both agreed and we went on our holiday feeling very relieved. Milou would like very much to go to Florence again. Thank you Florence.

Milo has stayed with Flo for a couple holidays and for daycare and we are so reassured that he is happy and well looked after by his enthusiasm when we pull up outside. He pulls me towards her front door and is always happy to see Flo. For us there is nowhere better. Its so good to be able to go on holiday and not worry about Milo as we know he is having a great time!

Freddy loves it at Flo's! He had his first stay whilst we were away at a family wedding back in August and seemed totally at ease with himself when we picked him up. He has his next stay booked in for November already and I know he can't wait to visit Flo again. Willow had her first stay with Flo, and although I was apprehensive at first at leaving her with a stranger, Flo immediately put me at ease. We left our beloved Tilly with Flo for 3 nights over Christmas. She had such a good time, she whined when we left Flo's after picking her up! We would have no hesitation to book Tilly in at Flo's in the future (although we're slightly envious that she seems to prefer it at Flo's than at home!) Just collected Ernie from six days in his holiday home, he seems to have had a wonderful time. Lots and lots of walks, lots of great company and best of all - was wonderfully well looked after. Flo loves her dogs and that is obvious. And they seem to love her too! I am more than happy to recommend her to anyone who worries about their dog being in kennels, just go to Flo!

We were on holiday in Devon this summer and took Bunty our Springer Spaniel with us. We needed care for Bunty for the second week and didn't want kennels and found Flo on line. Bunty had such a fabulous holiday with Auntie Flo. From the moment we arrived we knew we had found the best environment and care for our 14 month lively Springer. Absolutely perfect! All Bunty's needs were catered for in a home environment with a very charming caring lady who took immediate charge of Bunty when we were all introduced for the first time on a trial walk. Bunty was very happy and we knew then that she would be very well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend The Dog Hotel. I think Bunty would like the same holiday with Flo next year!! The experience completely exceeded our expectations.

Poppy,our Shi Tzu has had a wonderful time every time she stays with Flo. In fact when we walk her to The Dog Hotel and drop her off her tail wags all the way to her door. Flo is always welcoming and helpful and has even improved my french in correspondence by email!

We were recommended Florence by our dog groomer...and so glad we were, our dogs only spent 3 days with Florence but they were the happiest dogs when we collected them...they jumped up at Flo and not at Us!!!!!! Sadly we no longer have a home in Devon but would not hesitate to recommend her caring home from home for your pet.

Florence has looked after my adorable little Cavalier King Charles, Rosie, since she was a puppy, initially walking her every day and more recently as a guest at the Dog Hotel. Rosie has been quite poorly and has to have 9 1/2 tablets a day. I know I can trust Florence to administer the medication and look after her as well as I can myself. I would recommend anyone to entrust their dog to Florence, they will have all the love, attention, comfort and exercise they need.

Our Molly was a rescue dog who was very nervous, she is part of the family and so we did not want to put her into kennels whilst away. Flo's Dog Hotel was recommended by a good friend, and we have never used anyone else. Flo is fabulous with her doggie guests and Molly loves being there. We have no worries at all while we are away. Molly knows Flos name and wags her tail, she pulls like a train to get inside Flo's house once she gets out of the car, so you can see how happy she is to go and stay with Flo. We both highly recommend "The Dog Hotel" and we are sure you will feel the same.
