About our Boarding Cattery

Yew Tree Cattery has only recently opened and is fully licensed and insured. It complies with the new regulations for cattery's, so has UPVc throughout. It has bespoke accommodation which our new clients love, one friend visiting from the Lake District who runs a Cattery there, wants to do the same up there!

All our chalets are of the penthouse style, which overlook the orchard. They are heated with thermostatically controlled wall units. Memory foam beds are provided for each chalet. It is south facing so the cats enjoy the warmth of the sun whilst watching my ducks and chickens scratch about outside.
Each chalet has the wonderful Tigga Tower in place offering wonderful vantage points and excellent sleeping and scratching posts.

Each chalet has a large area with the Tigga Tower to offer exercise keeping the cats fit and healthy. There are various levels for cats to sit on too.

Health & Hygiene:

We work very hard to keep the chalets clean and in top condition. All cats must be fully vaccinated with flea treatment being given prior to arrival.
We have the approval of our vetinary practice where any cats presenting with illness, are taken immediately.

Boarding Cattery Prices

We require a 50% non refundable deposit at the time of booking. We currently only accept cash and cheques with the full amount being paid on arrival, however bank transfer is acceptable.
Our prices start at £10 per day for one cat, £16 for two (sharing accommodation from the same family) and £25 for three cats, again sharing from the same family.

Other Services

Should our opening times not suit, if it is at all possible, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Ollie and Alfie have just come back from their first stay at Yew Tree Cattery. We were very impressed with the facilities which were spotlessly clean and Alison obviously loves cats and gives them all lots of individual attention. Ollie and Alfie were very well looked after during their stay and we will definitely be coming back. I would highly recommend to any cat owners.

What a fantastic place! Alison is a great person who loves her guests and treats them really well. Milo was very happy here, his first ever stay at a cattery. We were so pleased that he enjoyed his stay (two whole weeks!) and Alison was really understanding when we got stuck picking Milo up after the heavy snow. Would definitely use Alison's cattery again for ours and Milo's next holiday :)

Never having put smokey in a cattery before I was worried about how he would settle he was fine I don't think he wanted to come back home

Yew Tree Cattery is by far the best cattery I have ever used. Alison, the owner, is devoted to the cats and cuddles them, plays with them, and makes sure they have all their favourite food. There are only 8 immaculate, spotlessly clean pens, so the cats get plenty of individual attention. Poppy, my cat, was very relaxed and happy when I picked her up. I wouldn't take her anywhere else.

My cat Billy stayed here for the first time in December 2016. Accommodation is first class, clean and not small. Alison looked after him so well we have now booked Bill in for 2 further stays. Recommend this cattery highly.

Due to a house sale and delayed purchased followed by a holiday my two cats ended up spending 37 days at the cattery with Alison, and this the first time they'd ever been to one! My concerns were totally allayed after seeing the facilities and meeting Alison and finding out what a lovely woman she is. I brought the cats home today and it is a total credit to yew tree cattery that they are both looking healthy, well fed and relaxed due to the attention and time spent with them and the peacefulness of the environment they were in. I shall never look any further for a cattery, thank you Alison

I've been using various catteries for the past 25 years and this has got to be one of the best. It's brand new so complies with all the new regulations and is absolutely immaculate. Alison has only 8 runs ( though each can take up to three cats from one home) so has plenty of time to spend giving the cats extra attention and cuddles. She is extremely efficient and there is a great reception area that is very well equipped. It is quite apparent that she loves them all too so I felt totally comfortable in leaving my lovely cats with her. They were perfectly contented when we returned to collect them. Each run is quite large with climbing towers and separate sleeping areas and has plenty to keep the moggies entertained. They are also heated in the colder months so you know your cat will be warm and comfy. I cannot recommend this cattery highly enough. It's sets the bar by which all others should be judged.

Our 12 year old cat Poppy has just returned from her first 3 night stay at Yew Tree cattery. Like most pet owners I was a little nervous leaving her in a new environment but as soon as I met Alison I knew she was in good, caring hands! The Cattery is first class with high quality accommodation for each cat..not to mention Tigger Towers for them to chill on! Alison took the time to ask about Poppy's food preferences and how much attention she liked etc and it was plain to see that the welfare of her feline guests was her top priority. We will definitely use Yew Tree Cattery again!

Our 3 cats have just returned from a week's stay at Yew Tree cattery. For 2 of them, it was their first stay at a cattery, so we were worried how they would settle. We needn't have been - the runs are large, bright and spotlessly clean, with every comfort, and Alison gives each resident exactly what they need, whether it's cuddles or a bit of space for more timid cats. She even sent us photos to reassure us that they were all happy and enjoying their stay! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Yew Tree, and are delighted to have found a cattery that gives total peace of mind that our cats are cared for as we would care for them at home.
