About our Small Pet Boarding

We board: RabbitsGuinea Pigs

Carots is a small family run boarding facility based in Weston Super Mare, 20 minutes south west from Bristol Airport. Our accommodation has been designed and built by us to provide your pet with space, security and enrichment during their stay. We have designed a unique style of accommodation that enables our guests a freedom of choice thus promoting instinctive behaviour.

We have nine units of various sizes depending on your pets requirements. Five units have individual thermostatically controlled under floor heating. Each unit has a private garden attached that is accessed via a connecting tunnel.

We also have 2 large hutches with detached safe gardens.

Daily exercise is offered as desired by our guests. Each unit has a private garden available for their use from dawn to dusk. Logs, balls and tubes are available for play time along with a shade/viewing box for the more inquisitive guest.
We close the connecting door to the garden at dusk for extra safety. Your pet is not transported to a separate run if boarding in a unit.

Health & Hygiene:

We request all our guests are vaccinated against
Myxomatosis, Viral Haemorrhagic Disease 1 and 2 at least two weeks prior to boarding.

If your bunny is already vaccinated the vaccination must remain valid for the entire duration of your bunnies stay at Carots.
If your bunny's vaccination is due during their stay and you haven't had time to attend the vets for their booster it may be possible for us to arrange for this to take place during your bunny's holiday.
We are happy to take your bunny to your vet this would involve a charge of £15 per visit plus the cost of the vaccination.
Area restriction applies.

There are currently no vaccinations needed for guinea pigs.
On arrival a health check will be carried out to assess the general health/condition of your pet.
Please bring proof of vaccinations or an emailed copy in advance.
Turf is replaced between guests.

I cannot recommend Carots enough. Carolyn was really friendly and made me feel at ease about leaving the guineas. The kids loved dropping them off and came back with loads of ideas for keeping them more engaged at home. Most importantly Oreo and Teddy loved their stay. Massive thank you to Carolyn

Carolyn has boarded many of my rabbits and guinea pigs, I wouldn't use anyone else. They get exceptional care and lots of fuss!. The accomadation is top class with excellent facilities. Very highly recommend.

A huge thank you once again to Carolyn and her family for looking after our two rabbits (Romeo and Juliet) so well. I had no concerns what so ever as I knew they were in good hands. I highly recommend Carots and would not send our bunnies anywhere else! Thank you again. Anita

I had looked long and hard to find somewhere to board our Rabbits after being constantly upset about their care while we were on holiday even to the point that I was contemplating not going away at all, luckily the search ended with Carots, they are nothing short of brilliant, thank you.

I have used Carots several times for my rabbit and cannot recommend Carolyn and her business enough. The rabbits have the most impeccable in beautiful spacious and clean units. My rabbit Floella always sulks for several days after coming home! Highly recommended.

I have used CAROTS several times over 3 years and am always delighted at the care that my bunnies receive. I have 8 rabbits, 2 of which are 9 years old and they are always looked after extremely well and monitored closely. Carolyn is very thorough and if anything is amiss she notices immediately. The accommodation is clean, amazing and just what bunnies need - space and stimulation. I would highly recommend CAROTS to anyone who wants a relaxed and worry free holiday - bunnies and owners alike!!!!

Incredible! Our beloved bunnies Cookie & Poppy stayed at Carots for a couple of weeks recently. I was very concerned about leaving them anywhere as they mean the world to me, however when we first went to visit Carots I knew that they would be taken care of. Carolyn completely understood how much our bunnies meant to us and gave me no doubt about them being in safe hands. The accommodation itself is fantastic; large, spacious, spotlessly clean and really well designed for the rabbits to be safe and warm but have all the exercise they need. Carolyn went the extra mile and sent us photographs and emails to reassure me that they were both doing well and this really helped me relax and not worry about how they were settling in. Both of my bunnies seemed very happy and I think even a little put out when it was time to come home! There aren't many places like this I'm sure, we travelled from Wales as we couldn't find any other suitable boarding. We will definitely use Carots again in future and I know I will feel much more relaxed about our bunnies going on their own holiday! Thank you Carolyn and Tony, we are very grateful for you having such a wonderful holiday home!

Carots is an amazing place for your bunnies to enjoy when you are away. My bunnies didn't want to come home. The accommodation is clean, spacious, and well organised. I'm so pleased to have found Carots. My bunnies will definitely be returning. Thank you so very much for the love and care you showed to my slightly crazy bunnies.

An amazing place to leave your rabbits when you're going away. The accomodation is so comfortable allowing the rabbits to stay inside or explore their garden area if they want to & Carolyn who runs it is so caring & looks after the animals as if they were her own. I will definately use Carots every time we need to go away.

Wow a very well laid out Small animal Hotel. Our pets were well cared for and would recommend them to anyone. The family who run the hotel are kind and helpful. They are well up on the health and wellfair of the Animals they care for. It left us in no doubt our pets were in safe hands while we had to go away unexpectedly. Thank you so much.
