About our Small Pet Boarding

Hi I adore rabbits and guinea pigs some say I am obsessed!!! I have kept rabbits and guinea pigs since a little girl and have been breeding and offering boarding for over 15 years now. I have loads of knowledge and make huge efforts to ensure your pets holiday is stress free and fun. I love interacting with the animals that come to stay here and send regular updates with photos, videos and stories about their stay. Each pet is treated like an individual and I spend time before they stay here getting to know what they like, don’t like, eat etc so I can have it ready and prepared to help them settle in and enjoy.

Accommodation:

Walk-in 9ft x 6ft enclosures with 5ft double hutch which they have 24/7 free access to and from. Each enclosure has mesh under flooring so they are safe and secure. I rotate enrichment objects such as tunnels, houses, toys etc but each enclosure has as a minimum a ball pit, dig pit, raised shelves and a wooden hideaway.

Your pet will also be given access to an 8ft run on grass for extra enrichment opportunities. And a further 8ft run which has tunnel connectors and underfloor mesh for fox proof safety.

Indoor rabbits/guinea pigs are provided with a 160cm Ferplast indoor hutch. They are given daily access to a rabbit/piggy proof room with additional toys and enrichment opportunities.

I feed top quality hay, I make my own dried herb and flower (including therapeutic herbs such as echinaccea, chamomile and parsley) which I will mix into their pellet feed and hay.

Health & Hygiene:

Each enclosure is tidied up daily and sprayed with a Lavendar pet safe disinfectant. Litter trays are emptied daily, washed and sprayed with Virkon. Hutches are cleaned out completely twice a week and sprayed with Virkon. Virkon is a powerful pet-safe disinfectant which kills 99% of germs including VHD and RHD. Rabbits and guinea pigs are checked daily for signs of wet bottoms and cleaned with warm water and hibiscrub if needed. This prevents them falling victim to flies and their eggs (flystrike).

ALL RABBITS MUST HAVE UP TO DATE VACCINATIONS (VHD/RHD2/MYXO) AND HAVE BEEN TREATED FOR WORMS WITH A 9 DAY COURSE OF PANACUR. THE VACCINATION CERTIFICATE MUST COVER THEIR WHOLE STAY PLUS TWO WEEKS. CERTIFICATES WILL NEED TO BE SHOWN PRIOR TO BOOKING AND BROUGHT FOR SECOND INSPECTION AT DROP OFF.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

£15.00 per day for one outdoor enclosure; £15.50 per day for inside boarding. For animals to share an enclosure they need to already be living together safely and harmoniously.

Price includes all food, hay, treats and enrichment toys.

A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure your space. I have limited spaces to ensure your pet gets lots of care and attention so early booking advised.
