I have a life long back ground with animals and working with animals, To me they are all to be treated with love, care and respect and as if each one of them is my own. I have owned and worked with Horses, Dogs, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Chinchillas, Ferrets, Hamsters, Mice, Rats and more. I am a qualified groom / riding instructor. Unfortunately bad health forced me to retrained in dog and small animal grooming. Along side this I studied Canine psychology because I love to know why our animals do the things they do and why humans always say they have problems. In fact the animal is normally the one having a people problem, not the owner with a pet problem. I understand or at least try to understand all their needs and wants. To provide the best care. I have taken Canine and Small animal first aid, Small animal care level 2 & 3. I am fully insured and work hard to provide a clean sterile environment with no cutting corners. Health and safety is absolute paramount along with love, kindness, patience and time. All animals are individuals and I appreciate and respect that. Treating them all as individuals means they individually get the best care.
All my qualifications can be seen along with my insurance documents. I work with an honest, compassionate manner and all animals and their welfare comes first. I do not believe in stacking animals in for quick and easy money. To do things right takes time, love & passion for little or very small reward financially.
I do this because I love animals. There are so many pet businesses that think its a quick easy way to make money and they have no insurance or knowledge. This is freighting and I am against the lack of legislation in this industry. I want animal welfare to be the best it can because of my love for animals. I want to give all animals in my care the very best and in doing so I give the owners the best service possible and hope they go away knowing their pets are safe and being very well cared for. Plus I love all the extra cuddles from the pets that stay with me.
I continue to do more courses in animal management, care and so on and refreshing my animal first aid. We never stop learning and I want to know all I can to be the best animal carer possible So when away on holiday, having an operation or any reason your away from home you can be sure your pets are having a 5* holiday of there own.
I have a range of outside hutches all with rain covers and thermal covers for when the weather changes. My hutches range from 4ft up to 7ft. All our hutches have toys which are appropriate for the pets we have inside of them. In the hutches are also feed bowls and water bottles. We do have hay racks which can be taken out depending on our preferences. Given some people think they are dangerous we give the option to you the owner.
Are hutches are cleaned and tidied daily and at the end of the week a full deep clean is given. We use dust extracted shaving. Are hutches are at the end of our garden and fenced off so it gives more security over who goes in and out of the hutch area. In front of the hutches we have grass matting down as this is easy to clean and sterilise. We also have a wide range of indoor cages of varying sizes for all types of pets from Rabbits to ferrets and rats. All with good air circulation, light and ideal for all weathers
I have a range of runs and play pens so your pets will get cage free play time each day regardless of the weather. Our outside runs all have weather proof covers but in deep snow and really heavy downpours its not fun being on wet grass so I have plenty of options for all pets to have a really good play around and also many appropriate toys for a variety of pets. All are sterlised bwetween pets to reduce risk of cross contamination.
All bowls, bottle, toys and equipment get cleaned daily. This is the way I was trained years ago and something I am very serious about. Bottle are all washed out and cleaned along with feed bowls and anything else your pet may use. Hutches and cages are also cleaned out daily, toilets are also emptied and cleaned and sterilised with pet safe cleaning products which my vet has even recommended as they use it also.
Prices vary from £15 a week ( 7 days ) and depending if there is one or more animals in the hutch. If you want to board a rabbit it would be £30 a week plus £5 for the 2nd rabbit. Additional days are charged accordingly but you will be given a full price including feed, bedding, fresh fruit and veg at the time of enquiry. We do not believe in hidden costs so the price your given will include everything for the duration of your pets stay
There are a number of pets which require regular nail trimming which is no problem at all and I am more than competent and qualified to this for you. There may be a small charge for this service if your not boarding with me and want it as a separate service. All boarding pets can have this service if required free of charge.
I do offer pampers for other animals depending on what pet you have. Guinea pigs should not be regularly bathed and rabbits only in extreme cases however they can all have tailor made pampers to tidy them up.
We are open dealing with your pets and our animals 24/7. If you want to come to meet us and have a look around then you need to contact us to make an appointment
