About our Small Pet Boarding

My name is Carolyn and have over 40 years’ worth of experience working with animals. Currently, I own a rabbit, tortoise, variety of hens and ducks, plus an elite status pedigree herd of cattle. I make all my own forage for the cattle so know that all the hay and straw I will use for your pets is top quality and fully organic. Over many years, I have developed a wide knowledge of animal care and hold craftsman status in animal husbandry.

Having kept animals all my life, I understand how important your pet is to you. You can be assured that whether you are on holiday, moving house or working away, that your pet will be treated as if they were my own and well looked after.

Accommodation:

Manor View Small Pet Boarding offers a light and cosy building equipped with spacious safe hutches for all your pet’s needs. Large outside hutches and runs are also available. As well as providing fresh food and water, the hutches create the perfect environment for plenty of exercise and sleeping. Whilst staying with us, your rabbits, guinea pigs and other small companions will receive lots of love and attention, so you can rest easy knowing your pet is well cared for.

DURING YOUR PETS STAY, WE WILL PROVIDE:

Daily fresh fruit and vegetables – organically grown in our veg garden

Top quality hay – made in my own field without chemicals or sprays

Full care and attention – a close eye will be kept on each guest, providing them with daily health checks

A variety of toys – for pets to play with to prevent boredom

Exercise:

Large, spacious hutches are provided for all rabbits and guinea pigs. If requested, outdoor exercise runs can be set up.

Health & Hygiene:

All of the rabbit and guinea pig hutches are cleaned and sterilised with veterinary grade disinfectant between each guest. Your pet will not mix or come into contact with any of the other animals staying with us, apart from bonded pets which will always be kept together.

For the protection of you own and other boarders, it is advised that all owners of rabbits have the vaccination against Myxomatosis and RVHD.

Small Pet Boarding Prices

One rabbit - £5 per night (£1.50 for each additional rabbit sharing the same hutch)
One guinea pig - £4 per night (£1 for each additional rabbit sharing the same hutch)
There is an additional £5 charge for 1 or 2 night bookings to cover preparation and cleaning.
Poultry - from £3 a night plus £10 per stay for cleaning of large poultry house and run.
Gerbils (in own cage) - £2.50 per night
Hamsters (in own cage)- £2.50 per night
Tortoise (no cage required) - £3 from per night
Other small animals (i.e. mice, hedgehogs etc) - from £2.50 per night
Please feel free to enquire about other small animals as I can often accommodate pets not listed

Charges are per night.

Other Services

I am happy to administer medication and do nail clipping if required while your pet is with me.
Bags of hay and straw are available for sale.
