Sarah is the proprietor and has always worked in animal care, winning awards for her high standards and achieving veterinary approval. PetPals ethos very much about giving the animals the space to live as nature intended and we are huge supporters of "a hutch is not enough campaign". You won't come to PetPals and see rows and rows of hutches and runs, it's not how we believe animals should live. We love animals and do not have a one size fits all approach, each little pet has it's own routine and requirements and so do our owners! We listen to our owners and care for their pets exactly as they wish and our owners feel confident when they leave their pets with us. We are very lucky as we have a lot of space here with three acres of grounds and very unique facilities. We are often described as a rural retreat with small pets at the heart of it!
PetPals doesn't attract pet owners looking for an "economy" option, our owners spoil their pets and want the best care for them, just like they get at home! We are continually improving what we offer, we want to be the best small pet holiday home and have very high standards. Please look at the Facebook page, our website and google to see what our regulars say about us!
For all enquiries please look at our website where you can book online or send us a contact form. www.petpalsholidayboarding.co.uk or facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PetPalsholidayboarding/

Just some of our testimonials, more the side of this page..
"Sarah really listened to how we wanted Pip cared for and when we collected her we could see how content she was, we think she was actually more sociable than when we had dropped her off and the children were over the moon with the photos" Michelle Bridges
"Thank you Sarah we loved the photo up-date and could see how beautifully Tom and Jerry had been cared for, Tom had never been so fluffy, we will be back next year" Kate Stoner
"Thank you for caring for our beloved Rosie during her final weeks, we knew she didn't have long to live but knowing you made her last few weeks happy when we could not be there meant a lot" Claire Thompson
"After sending my g.pigs to you I realised what a different service you gave me and my pets compared to other boarding homes, from e-mail up-dates with photos to the love you showed them, my mind was at ease for the month I was away and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending you or sending them back next year!" Pam Hutton

To meet our owners high standards we have tried to offer various types of accommodation so that you can pick what you would like and what you feel is best suited to your pet.
We have a large and airy brick building (Pet Lodge) with double glazed window overlooking the paddocks. Pet Lodge has heating and cool air options so that in both summer and winter months pets are comfortable.
For Rabbits and Guinea Pigs I have indoor and outdoor accommodation options.
For chickens I have a range of coops but recommend the Extra Large Liberty Pens for 2+ birds.
Hamsters and other rodents are welcome, I would recommend bringing their usual accommodation to save changing their little worlds completely!
Birds - I regularly have parrots, budgies and other birds staying and I would if possible bring their own cages with them to keep them in the environment they know however we have large parrot cages.
Tortoises - we have indoor and outdoor options.
Goats and Pigs - we have two stables and a large fully fenced concrete yard area with no way for them to escape. Each stable is 12x13 and has rubber flooring. We can offer shavings and straw beds and things for the goats to climb on and have fun!
If your pet has not been mentioned then please just ask!
Our indoor and outdoor enclosures are spacious and offers plenty of exercise for the animals that are staying. We have large outside enclosures that offer indoor and outdoor sections throughout the day which are completely covered with roofs so offer shelter from rain and sun but give the pets a feeling of freedom and overlook our grounds which they really seem to enjoy. These are under the shelter of our Oak trees and so even in the hot months they stay cool and when it's cold they are sheltered from the wind.
Indoor Bedrooms - based within our pet lodge these are a really lovely option for our house bunnies, piggies and even tortoises. They range in size with the largest being 2mx1.5m and the pets love them. The lodge is fully heated for the winter months, the lodge is a lovely "home from home" environment with relaxing music played throughout the day.
Hamsters and other rodents follow their usual daily routine as instructed by their owner.
Birds - will follow their usual daily routine as instructed by their owner.
Pet quarters are cleaned daily and fully disinfected between guests using F10 and Vircon. We have always worked closely with Trinity Vets a specialist vet and our village vet Green Lane to work to their recommendations to ensure we are doing everything we can to protect the pets in our care. The pets are spaced apart so that none are touching (unless they live together of course!) or come from the same home as sometimes our owners like them to see each other and touch. We use hand gel after handling a pet and before handling another. All bowls are disinfected. We also have foot dips between our paddocks and Petpals, rabbit proof fencing on our perimeter and electric between paddock and garden to deter foxes and cats. Pets have fresh air at all times and their heath is checked at every visit, they also have a late night check (or the turndown service as we call it when some get their usual bedtime treats!) and regular supervision as our house overlooks both the indoor accommodation and outdoor areas and with have CCTV with sound and excellent night vision around the property. We do everything we can to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the pets in our care and that is our priority.
To protect the pets in our care please ensure:
Your rabbit is vaccinated against Mxomatosis & VHD plus RVHD2 (the relatively new vaccination!). The more recent your injections the higher the protection your rabbit has so some owners like to do this every 6 months but it must be within the last 12 months. Please bring your vaccination card with you.
Vets: We have a vets open 27/7 just a few miles from us for your peace of mind as well as the rabbit specialist vet Trinity Vets in Maidstone and our amazing village vet Green Lane who are both so supportive if we need them.
