Coppice Kennels and Cattery
Please mention you found us on: findpetboarding.com
We are a boarding kennels and cattery on the outskirts of Rural Melbourne in South Derbyshire. We offer a safe, comfortable and loving stay for your pet/s while you are away. We are licensed by South Derbyshire District Council.
I gained a triple Distinction in The National Diploma in Animal Care Level 3 in college. We have a small, dedicated team of animal lovers helping us care for the pets boarding with us - I believe a smaller team provides a calmer environment for your pet/s as there are less strangers tending to them and everyone can get to know their personality and quirks.
Short notice/last minute bookings are taken (if we have availability).
Our cattery has 14 pens - single, double and family sized pens. There are two layers to provide space to play and climb, with a ramp for less agile cats. The ramps can be removed for elderly cats or those recovering from surgeries etc to make the pen one level for a little added safety.
We can provide bedding, toys and food but owners are welcome to bring their own to give their pet/s some home comforts. We request that pets on a medicated diet bring enough for the stay.
Our cattery is heated by a thermostat heater and we use heated beds in the colder months as well (when it is below 10 degrees). Heated beds can be requested for elderly cats or those who just like a cosy bed.
The cattery is set apart from the kennel block to minimise the amount of noise coming from the dogs to lower the chance of your cat becoming stressed. Each pen has a window so the cats can watch the wildlife outside.
Exercise and play sessions are provided twice daily by our staff inside the cattery. Sessions are one to one or as a family - we never mix cats from different households.
Every cat must be up to date on their annual vaccinations and their vaccine card must be brought on drop off to prove this.
Our staff are capable and comfortable in administering medicines whether it's tablets, inhalers or injections - we don't charge for this service.
Cats must be healthy on arrival and we request that they are treated for fleas before coming to stay with us. If your pet becomes unwell while with us, we will take them to their vets. If this isn't possible we will take them to our local vets.
Cats must be vaccinated at least two weeks before coming to stay with us. So, for example, if your cat comes in on the 20th of May, their vaccinations must be done before the 6th of May.
