Wickham Walkies

Chrissie has looked after our very excitable young bulldog and our elderly puggle. Both of our girls have come home in high spirits after their boarding stays (which has not been the case with other dog boarders we have used in the past). We trust Chrissie with our dogs and know that they are happy with her.

Our Boxer Nutty absolutely loves her stays with Wickham Walkies. So much so, that she drags me down the road to Chrissy's gate as soon as she realises where she is going, runs down the step and through the front door without looking back! Chrissy walks the dogs to some amazing locations - Nutty has even learnt how to swim! It's so lovely seeing all the photos whilst you are away that Chrissy manages to take (and all the dogs seem to be smiling)! As a family who have family abroad and enjoys travel, we would be lost without Chrissy, and are so grateful we can visit family and do what we love, knowing that Nutty is happy and so well taken care of. Chrissy absolutely loves every dog she cares for as if they were her own (I think she may even like dogs more than humans :).

We've used Chrissie at Wickham Walkies to look after our lab pointer cross for the last 2 years when we are away. The dogs are treated like one of the family and the set up they have is great. Jasper runs straight over to Chrissie when he sees her and loves his holidays there. They are walked twice a day and she adapts for dogs with more or less energy. It's a lovely place and I can't recommend them enough. If you're looking for a really loving and professional home from home service then you've found it.

Our dog Luna has been going to Wickham Walkies for 6 years now. There is no other person I would trust with Luna. Chrissy provides a 5* service and nothing is too much trouble for her. I know for a fact that she treats every dog she has as if they were her own. Luna sulks when we collect her because she has had so much fun and is spoilt! She gets to play with other dogs and her exercise is tailored to her. (Geting on a bit now 😁) I have no hesitations in recommending Wickham Walkies to anyone.

Chrissy is an amazing lady who provides an excellent service. I would not leave my dog Ruby with anyone else. I can confidently go away and know that Ruby will be looked after in a homely atmosphere, exercised and treated with love and care.

Christina offers a wonderful space for your dog - home from home. My dog has fantastic walks with her in safe places. He is always so clean afterwards, relaxed and happy. Christina also knows her stuff and can keep a professional eye on your dog. Can't recommend her enough.

I would say boarding Sam with Chrissie is ‘home from home', but Sam enjoys his holiday so much I'm sometimes think he'd like to stay longer! I can leave Sam in Chrissie's care knowing he will be well looked after and loved. He loves walks with the other dogs and constant companionship, returning home at the end of his stay happy and tired. Chrissie takes time and trouble to get to know the dogs before they come to her, she also ensures they will be comfortable being part of the pack. Sam has taken his holidays with Chrissie for over 4 years, I would not send him anywhere else.

Christina has been looking after my sprocker Baxter since he was a pup a few years ago. A real home from home, Baxter always has a great time there and goes on lots of adventures. Chrissy has looked after him countless times over the years for daycare, overnighters, and the occasional holiday. I know I can always go away and no have to worry, safe in the knowledge that Baxter is having a great time and is so well looked after. Cant recommend highly enough.

Chrissie was recommended to us back when our Boxer dog “Alfie” was just 2 years old and over the last seven years or so we have entrusted her to look after our boy more times than I care to remember. A natural with dogs, Chrissie has an enviable ability to win the love from each and every dog that is lucky to be in her care, amazing walks, swims and games evident in the many pictures that she regularly posts on her Facebook page demonstrate how happy and content our loved ones are when we are unable to be with them. Unfortunately Alfie is no longer with us, however when we smile at the joy he gave our family over the years we are forever grateful to Chrissie for helping us give him the very best of care. I have used Wickham Walkies for both daycare and dog boarding for about 2 years. I had never had a dog before and wasn't expected the level of vetting initially but this level of professionalism has remained consistently ever since. Our dog Brutus absolutely loves it and he's a sensitive soul so I'm confident I'd know if he didn't. Chrissie is exceptional and a treasure of a find! I trust her explicitly which is something I never thought I'd say. It's nice to leave him a home environment; it's well set up, house is exceptionally clean; doesn't smell doggy at all! which I think is a real testament to how hard she must work given how many dogs must be in and out, 7 days a week! She's reasonably priced, reliable, consistent and posts pictures on Facebook which is lovely when we are away and feeling bad for leaving him. She treats him like he's on holiday too! I really would say if I had any concerns but Chrissie consistently provides an excellent A grade service. This is a great example of how a doggy service should be run.

Our Boston Terrier Wilson has had two stays now. Before boarding Chrissie makes time to get to know your dog, we took him on a couple of walks with her before his first stay. Both times dropping him off have been stress free, Wilson happily walks in the house and is instantly at home. Christie gives regular updates either personally or by her Facebook group page (private page). I feel she genuinely loves all the dogs in her care and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Honey stayed with Chrissie when we went away in May. Chrissie put up photos of what she was up to so we could see. She seemed to have great fun walking with the other dogs and swimming. Chrissie invited us to visit and as Honey doesn't normally walk with other dogs invited us on a walk so she could see how she was with other dogs. I would have no hesitation in leaving her with Chrissie again.

Our dog Rocco loves staying at Wickham Walkies, he always gets excited when he realises he is going with Chrissy which is great when I'm feeling guilty about leaving him. I receive regular updates about his day and the walks he's been on which is lovely as I can see he is enjoying his holiday just as much as we are!

If your looking for a home away from home your dog will never be happier .took our dog to stay with chrissy while we went on holiday when we collected him he wasnt even that bothered to see us which is a good thing he was still all over chrissy with 3walks a day he came back a much fitter and healthier dog we're so glad we found her the dogs are loved very much and well looked after hope she always has a space for jake would be gutted to have to find somewhere else .

Our golden retreivers Margo and Monty absolutely love going to stay with Chrissie at Wickham Walkies. As soon as I say "hoilday" they get excited. I know that wickham walkies takes great pleasure in having my dogs and they are looked after and cared for just as I would do myself. I know that Chrissie will help me out with day car at short notice, equally she takes bookings months in advance. My dogs come back happy and worn out as they have had so much fun. I can't recommend Wickham walkies and Chrissie enough.

Our dog Evie has a fabulous time with Chrissie and I have every confidence in her care and knowledge. Having dogs to stay in her own home rather than a kennel is best option for us, and Evie has benefitted from mixing with other dogs.Chrissie is very accommodating with arrangements and Evie loves her!

I would highly recommend Chrissy for boarding, she is fantastic at what she does. She has just looked after my 18 month cocker spaniel who had a great time. She is brilliant with the dogs and give them plenty of love and exercise. After collecting Mollie yesterday afternoon she slept all evening she was so worn out from all of the fun she had. Her prices are very reasonable aswel and it gave me complete peace of mind when I went on holiday.

Roxy stayed with Chrissy for a week whilst we were away on holiday. I was really nervous about leaving her, as its the first time we have left her. Trying to find doggy day care for my 5 month old springer 'Bilbo' was becoming a problem in my area as most of the people we went to see just didn't feel right for him or they couldn't fit in with my fairy needy time schedule ! I must say Chrissie has been amazing with everything from collections, last minuet doggy sitting, flexibility, communication and fabulous photos posted on Wickham Walkies Facebook site of the days fun! The integration with the dogs he walks with really has made a impact on the walks I have with Bilbo when around other dogs , his calm confidence is a real pleasure to see! Finding someone to take care of a young, exuberant and demanding Belgian Shepherd is a challenge. We are delighted to have found Chrissy at Wickham Walkies as our dog, Drew, gets all the fun, exercise and stimulation that he needs and is clearly cared for as if he was Chrissy's own dog. He is happy to be left and comes home fit, tired and happy. Chrissy keeps in touch as much or as little as you need and we can relax knowing Drew is in safe hands. Highly recommended.

Our labrador Digger loves staying with Chrissy so much he doesn't want to come home. He recently had an operation and we had no worries leaving Digger with Chrissy, she looks after him as if he was her own. I can't recommend her enough.

Bonnie my cockapoo stayed with Chrissy for 16 nights in the summer whilst we were away. I phoned a few pet sitting services before finding Chrissy, I knew as soon as I spoke to Chrissy that Bonnie would have all her needs met, Chrissy understood any concerns I had (Bonnie was only 9 months and hated being left allown!) Bonnie's routine was kept the same whilst with Chrissy, even down to her being allowed to sleep upstairs, as she does at home!! Chrissy gave us regular updates whilst we were away, which was lovely and Bonnie had a fantastic time.....she actually sulked for 5 days when we got her home!! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chrissy to other dog owners. Bonnie can't wait for us to go away next year!

Raymond has just got home from his stay with Chrissie.... He has come home as happy as the day we dropped him off... I was not happy taking him to a kennel so when we were recommended to Wickham Walkies I jumped at the chance as it's a home from home..... He was well looked after and walked loads which he loves....it was great seeing all the photos of him having a great time with all his new doggy friends on Facebook whilst we were in holiday as my daughter really missed him.. Our border collie x kelpie Toby has been to stay over with Chrissie a couple of times now and we are so pleased with how she looks after him we have already booked all our holidays and days away for the year. Toby comes back tired and happy and he embarrasses us by pretending we are strangers when we go to pick him up. Would thoroughly recommend wickhamwalkies to anyone wanting quality care for their dog. Our English bull terrier Molly is an exuberant, high spirited 3 year old. When Christina agreed to take Molly into her home to board for a few days we were concerned how she would cope but we needn't have worried! From the start Christina reassured us and gave us confidence that they would be fine, and they were! Molly had obviously been very well looked after, been taken out for fun walks and was happy and calm when we arrived to pick her up. We were delighted when Christina said she would look after Molly in future so now we can relax when we go away. We can definitely recommend Christina and wickham walkies as a very friendly and competent service.

I've stayed with Chrissie twice now and I love it. She takes me out for loads of walks so much so that when I get back with my owners I'm exhausted in the nicest possible way. Leaving my 12 week old German Shepherd with Chrissie was the best decision I have made. From the very first phone call I knew my puppy would be in good hands And I was right. Dexter immediately warmed to Chrissie and what I loved was that she text me throughout the day to let me know how he was doing. You wouldnt get that from everyone. Dexter had constant attention throughout the day and plenty of exercise. With loads of love and care and a garden to play in and a trip to the park he was a very happy pup!! I wouldnt even think of going to anyone else next time I need someone to look after Dexter. Would highly highly recommend Chrissie to any one looking for pet care, not a single thing I can possibly fault. Thank you chrissie for your amazing service. Will definately be bringing Dexter back to you!!

Maramaduke has stayed with Chrissie a couple of times now and he is always very please to stay there. He is a full grown golden Labrador with lots of energy and love to give. He always comes back well exercised, tired and happy. We would recommend Wickham Walkies to anyone with a pet.

I run a sweet shop called The Sugar Mill in Chudleigh and rely on Chrissie to walk Eric 3 times a week. Eric is always pleased to see her and this is a reflection of her love and passion for dogs. Eric has also had sleepovers and it is wonderful to feel I can go away knowing he is happy in his second home! Would recommend this service to anyone.

Wickham Walkies have been walking Loki for some time now. I can't recommend them enough. They are reliable and extremely flexible, and have been so good with fitting around our hectic lifestyle! Chrissie is really friendly and Loki loves her. He's not an easy dog at times and she has managed him beautifully. We wouldn't be without the service.

We can't recommend Wickham Walkies highly enough!! Our 14 week old puppy, Chewie, stayed with Chrissie at Wickham Walkies at the end of October for 2 days. As Chewie was so young we were concerned about his needs especially his sleeping arrangements. Chewie was looked after incredibly well. Every need was catered for including his sleeping needs. He loved being there! It was playtime all the time & Chrissie was fantastic with him. I was able to contact Chrissie anytime to see how Chewie was & see what he had been up too. Chrissie also took photo's of him during his stay which she has given me a copy of. Chewie is going to spend a day at Wickham Walkies later in this week and we have already booked him in for a longer stay next May. Thank you Chrissie & keep up the good work!
