Hi, I am Tracy Hodges. I established Caunton Collar Club in 2019 after my family and I moved to Nottinghamshire from Essex earlier the same year. Having spent over 20 years working in Investment Banks and Asset Management, moving here was the perfect opportunity to spend my time in more pleasant canine company and more picturesque surroundings.
I run the dog boarding and day care services at our family home in Caunton, and I am supported by our wonderful Rough Collie, Skye. She is a brilliant dog to have as a resident as she gets on with everyone and is always happy to have the company of young or old alike!
Since the Covid-19 lock down in March of this year we also have a new addition to the family, a German Shepherd named Storm. She loves as much exercise as she can get, enjoys meeting new dogs and is into absolutely everything!
Having owned dogs all my life, spending time training them in behaviour and agility I knew I wanted to run a business that would be all about them and helping other people who own dogs. For years we have used services like this to keep our family running efficiently, while at work, away on holidays or just providing help with last minute unexpected absences. Providing boarding services was the perfect fit for our new life.
Over the years it has been essential for us to have a reliable and caring set of hands to support us looking after our dogs, and that is just what I aim to provide to you through Caunton Collar Club.
All dogs have full access to our house, except the bedrooms. For wet and muddy days we have a small child gate to keep them in the Utility and Kitchen until they dry out!
Most dogs like to sit with me during the day in my office and at night they generally sleep in the same area of the house as they do at home.
They have a secluded space away from the family pets at night so that they feel safe and secure.
There is a secure "Dog Garden" for toilet breaks and relaxation, straight outside the back door.
They will also have access to 1 acre of our garden when the family are all together and to give them extra exercise.
Loads of public footpaths in our area through fields and woods to keep up their step count!!
We are based in a rural setting and surrounded by fields.
Fully Licenced by Newark & Sherwood District Council.
We follow all their guidelines and align to Pet Industry Federation code of ethics.
