Currently no dogs live with me (or cats, no small children), I have over 25 yrs experience of owning large dogs of my own dogs who were secondhand and all loved and cared for to a good old age. Most dogs boarding with me are returning guests, booking up to a year in advance. They love staying here and I love having them back. All have different needs - old. young, behaviour problems, medical issues. I will make their stay as fun/comfortable/stress free as possible.
Medium rear garden, paved and secure. Front lawned and secure. 2 steps max in or out.All areas of my garden are gated off to ensure dedicated supervision in that particular area, therefore no dog can be out of my sight. Fencing is either 5 or 6 feet high .Blankets and toys (only used under supervision) can be provided, but please bring familiar items (smells). Any usual toys. Your dog/s will be required to wear one of my ID tags with my contact details on. When your dog is outside in my garden I am always with them, come rain or shine. If it's usual they sleep with you, that's fine with me. Sitting on the setee watching TV, following me round the house upstairs and down, that's fine.Whatever makes it comfortable and un-stressful for them, they can do as they please.
Walks around quiet streets and are very local to rural and woodlands. Local large park popular with many dog walkers, plenty of space. But ALL DOGS ALWAYS KEPT ON THE LEAD. Please bring your own preferred and tested lead/collar/harness/muzzle. Written details of your pet's daily routine will be very helpful, please jot down all you can think of. Please note - I reserve the right to restrict walking in public areas should your dog display unacceptable and unpredictable behaviour. Also, although my garden is secure, it is not for all breeds, some with a high wanderlust, I may have to exercise in the garden on a long lead (some dogs will look to escape AT ANY OPPORTUNITY) please advise if this is likely.
My own dogs have had medication issues - I have experience of oral chemotherapy, steroid tablets and topical steroid administration. Any fears or phobias, let me know, including things they hate for no reason. (My own dog hated the pull along shopping trolleys, no idea why but anything like that would help me with the reason for odd behaviour) As previously stated proof of your dog's up to date vaccinations and flea treatment will be required, including details of the vet practice you are registered with and your home address, along with insurance details (if approp) and local contact details whilst you are away. You will be required to provide all food and treats for your pet's stay. If your dog doesn't have a problem - lamb, pork, steak, venison, fish, can be added to their food if I cook and have leftovers (plain meat only)as a treat with your agreement. Please inform me of any intolerances.

Payment in full on arrival (for stays over 7 nights 50% on arrival and 50% on collection).
