Small Pet Boarding Information

About Our Boarding Service:

I am an animal lover and can offer your pet loving care and attention in a home environment. Your pet's welfare and happiness is my priority. All boarders are covered by specialist pet boarding insurance to offer you extra peace of mind.
When you are away you can be safe in the knowledge that your pet is in good hands. Fetcham Pets is not a large scale boarding establishment so I am able to offer a more personal and attentive service to your pet.

Accommodation:

I have sheltered outdoor hutches, large indoor cages and two covered secure outdoor runs. I have a converted garage (cooling/heating available) for boarding small animals, or space in the family home. Outdoor hutches are locked up and enclosed at night for safety. For smaller pets, owners need to supply their own cages/tanks.
I use environmentally friendly Megazorb animal bedding in our hutches, which is high absorbency and helps to prevent odours so reducing insect problems.
Accommodation will be spot cleaned every day. Hutches cleaned and disinfected between tenancies using DEFRA approved Safe4 disinfectant - the choice of veterinary professionals.

Exercise:

At your request, your pet will be handled daily and if appropriate/weather permitting, be exercised in one of our two runs in the garden. Shade will always be available.
You are welcome to bring your pet's own toys and accessories to use during its stay.

Health & Hygiene:

Your pet will always have access to fresh water and dry food (special diets to be supplied by the owner). You may prefer to bring your pet's own dry food so as not to disrupt its normal diet. Additional fresh food given to your specification.
Hay always available and served in a hay rack to keep it from getting soiled.
Accommodation and bowls will be disinfected between tenancies.
To offer you peace of mind, I require details of an emergency contact with whom I can liaise in case of any problems arising with your pet. This will need to be someone who you can trust to authorise whatever course of action is appropriate. I will also need the details of your own vet so that in case of emergency your pet can be treated promptly. I will administer any medications when supplied (may incur extra cost).
Rabbits need to be vaccinated for VHD and myxomatosis at least two weeks before boarding. As these are highly contagious conditions, we will need to view an up to date vaccination certificate when booking or on arrival. Failure to do this will mean your rabbit will not be accepted.

Small Pet Boarding Tarif

Per 24 hours or part of:
Rabbits: single pet - £5
price per additional pet sharing - £2
Guinea pigs: single pet - £4
price per additional pet sharing - £1
Smaller pets (rats/hamsters etc): price per cage - £3

Minimum boarding charge: £10

All monies owed are to be paid in full when collecting your pet (including any extra unforeseen costs and vet fees if applicable).
Payment by cash or guaranteed cheque.
A non-returnable deposit equivalent to 2 days tariff will be required at time of booking which will be deducted from your final bill.
Please note Christmas and Easter bank holidays are charged at double tariff.
FRESH FOOD, HAY AND BEDDING ARE INCLUDED IN THE FEE, AS WELL AS SPECIALIST INSURANCE COVER WHICH INCLUDES COLLECTION AND DELIVERY OF MINDED PETS, AND LIABILITY TO ANIMALS IN OUR CARE, CUSTODY AND CONTROL.
