Small Pet Boarding Information

About Our Boarding Service:

Lavender Lodge offers a home from home for every rabbit guest whilst their family is away on holiday. We understand only too well how you would wish to have your rabbits cared for. With this in mind, we will treat your rabbit as one of our own with personal grooming, cuddles and company lavished on every guest.
We have our own 3 resident bunnies (Whiskey, Sienna & Pixie) who are often out and about in our large sheltered garden and they love meeting new guests. All our guests will have supervised outside run-time (weather permitting) and we give as much time attention and company as each individual guest wishes to receive.

Accommodation:

Rabbit guests are boarded in two storey hutches . Each hutch has access to an under-run for free use by the rabbit, which means that they can still exercise if the weather is wet or cold.

All hutches are housed within a secure wooden lodge which has its own outside paved area where guests can exercise in wooden runs daily (weather permitting). The lodge will have free access to secure ventilation and will be securely locked at night with all windows closed unless the night temperatures require further ventilation.
Suitable activity toys will be given to rabbit guests, although owners are free to leave their own favourite toys with them. These will not be offered to any other rabbits.

To avoid scuffles, rabbit guests will not be allowed to play or exercise with any rabbit other than their bonded hutch-mate. Indoor exercise pens will allow guests some time to stretch their legs in bad-weather.

Hutches are cleaned daily and food is freshly replenished with each guest being offered fresh vegetables as well as their usual feed (diets permitting).

Exercise:

As well as our paved area, there is a lovely new all weather shed for rabbit guests to exercise in when the British weather does what it does best - rains!
All guests will have the opportunity to use all facilities daily, and no guest is left to exercise unsupervised.

Health & Hygiene:

For the protection of each and every rabbit guest! All rabbit guests will have a basic health check upon arrival. (Ears, fur, teeth, claws and bottoms)

All We Ask is that all guests have received vaccinations against VHD* and Mxymotosis* at least two weeks prior to their stay. If possible, we would like to see vaccination cards on arrival. Guests are also expected to have received regular flea* and fly strike* treatment and to have been wormed*. If guests are within their usual time for worming or flea treatment, they may be treated at the lodge but a charge will be made for the treatment and application.

Single Rabbit or Guinea pig £6.00 per night

Single Hamster £5.00 per night

Bonded Pair – Rabbits & Guinea Pigs £7.00 per night

Bonded Pair – Gerbils/Degu £5.00 per night

Late/delayed Pick-up

In the case of late or delayed pick-up; a charge appropriate to the above tariff for your pet will be made for each extra night he/she remains with Lavender Lodge.

Other Services

All rabbits needs a good grooming and we are happy to supply lots of grooming and cuddles to any rabbit guest who would like this service.
